The ease of use is essential when you're getting your little one all snug. What we have found with swaddles is that a tight swaddle is necessary for it to be effective with our kids. We have longer babies but I wouldn't say &quot;skinny.&quot; With most swaddles, the velcro isn't aligned well for it to be tightly snug. This swaddle seemed to be the exception to that. We loved that it seemed to fit our baby SO WELL with room to grow. Additionally, the fact you can use this with arms out is a huge benefit when purchasing this size. Typically, between 3-6 months, your baby starts rolling over. To spend money on a swaddle that cannot transition the arms out is a real bummer. Also, the zipper allows for easy diaper changes without needing to re-swaddle, though we didn't really find it necessary to utilize that feature too much because when she was up, she was up (so the tight swaddle didn't need to sustain during the diaper change). Overall: 5 stars. All we had to do was tuck his arms and velcro away. As he has gotten older, we needed to transition him and this transition swaddle is just perfect. When he's awake, we can un-velcro him to let his little arms wiggle and when he starts falling asleep, we can velcro him back without waking him up. The zipper down the middle instead of running up the side makes it so much easier to get baby in and out and for diaper changes. I also find that it doesn&rsquo;t bunch up around baby&rsquo;s neck as much as previous versions. That always worried me and I would fret over making sure it was pulled down properly before laying baby in the crib. Previous versions had a bit of Velcro on the inner flap that helped secure it to babies chest a bit better, but it honestly wasn&rsquo;t necessary.
