I was first introduced to the fleece sleepsack at the hospital. I loved the way it zipped up for quick diaper checks and changes. However, the fleece sleepsack did not Velcro shut, and it's also now way too hot for my baby to sleep in at night. They gave me a cotton sleepsack when I left the hospital. I am so glad they did. I loved it so much I bought a second one. It's lightweight cotton, so it is not too hot for my little one. He sleeps in just a tee shirt or onesie and this sleepsack at night. The Velcro allows me to swaddle him quickly and tightly. I love that it can't get loose and go over his face like a regular swaddle blanket. The zipper is perfect for diaper checks and changes, especially at night. His arms are secure to prevent him from startling awake, but he can still kick his little legs if he wants. Must-have nursery item.
