My only issue that it was barely enough to fit our doorway, even if it did it didn&rsquo;t feel safe. Fortunately I bought two so we were able to extend the gate for a better fit. Another issue was opening the door as you had to align and lock a part with the gate when you open. It was annoying at first. But using the gate for a while I just got used to it. We have an odd 48&rdquo; opening before the stairs we wanted to close off vs putting at top or bottom of stairs. Pros. It looks fantastic, multiple options for sizing and good size door opening. It has 3 different extensions and you can have wider on one side vs others depending on needs. The extensions are secure, trust me she shakes it regularity and stands on it and hasn&rsquo;t budged. Cons. Tricky to fit. We thought it was defective as we struggled to get latch to click in but we seen a you tube video and figured out you really need to play with screwing the pressure mounts in and adjusting tension top and bottom to get the gate angle so it latches closed. Bar at bottom can be tripping hazard but we are used to it now We leave door open when she is not here and it is not cumbersome. I needed a gate that would fit a wide opening to block access to basement stairs. The gate comes in sections to fit different sized openings. We ended up using all of the sections and it fit just perfectly where we needed it set up. My baby pulls himself up using the gate as well as pushes on it, and it does not budge. I also have 2 cats and a dog, and the gate works well to keep my dog and my 18 lb cat on the other side. My other cat is small enough to fit through only some of the spaces in the gate, where the gate door meets the main gate body. The spaces are not big enough for a baby to get through, though. I especially love the look of this gate and that I can easily open and close it with one hand.
