We only started using it 8 months ago as our baby slept in our room for the first 6 months. We spent over ALOT of money for this monitor, did sooo much research to find the perfect camera that had all of the features we wanted. The battery life has been declining like crazy in less than a year! We keep it charged all night (as we were told to do by Summer Infant).. we wake up and find that it hasn&rsquo;t fully charged. We leave it on for a few more hours, when it&rsquo;s finally at a full battery, my daughter takes a nap and it&rsquo;s dead before she even wakes up. We charge it after her nap all day until she goes to bed, and it isn&rsquo;t even fully charged. Once again, it starts beeping before we even get into bed. I contacted the customer support and they were useless.. I was basically told that I could buy a new product and they sent me the link.. are you kidding me? This product is absolute garbage and all this company cares about is making more money, not keeping their current clients happy and worrying about retention. I would be willing to purchase a new product from them if I had any faith that it would last. But at this point, I will have to throw this piece of garbage that you would call a monitor away, throwing money down the drain, and buying a new monitor from another company. I was willing to purchase a new battery but was told they are discontinuing the system and cannot offer me a new battery to purchase. So I&rsquo;m basically left without any options.. Giving it 4 starts instead of 5 because the audio is already having issues. It will randomly super quiet, then back to normal volume, and then repeat. Shortly after we noticed issues with the noise light not picking up any sound. Summer send us a new unit in Jan 2021 which was great. Not even 8-9months later we noticed the unit would not hold a charge for very long but now 10months in it is completely reliant on the charger. I reached out to warranty and was told it&rsquo;s one year from original purchase not on the unit it&rsquo;s self. Batteries are out of stock so I would need to go buy a brand new unit as my only option. To me this is poor warranty. They should be standing by their units for up to a year. One annoying thing is when it&rsquo;s plugged in the and it picks up a noise the screen turns on and stays on, this is annoying at night when you&rsquo;re trying to sleep and your child turning over in bed activates the camera. You have to manually turn off the screen again.
