It has been outside for four years with the exception of when a typhoon is coming through and still in great condition. Only the handle on the bucket broke but after four years of sun/heat I think that’s fine. I personally feel putting in screws without pre drilled holes was fine. It seems sturdier than other similar type items. My son is 5 and still loves it. I feel like a lot of thought was put into this water table.</span>

Very easy to put together, but I agree with other reviews that if you have a drill screwdriver attachment much easier to place the screws. I don't know how difficult it would be with a regular handheld screwdriver.</span>

I will say the assembly was significantly more than I expected with lots of screws holding it all together. The instructions say to use a manual screwdriver which didn’t work for me - instead I used a power drill set to its lowest torque setting.</span>
