<span itemprop="description">[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I'm not sure I could fully express how much I love this toy! It has so much potential for learning and exploring, not to mention the amazing water features that have my kiddos wanting to be outside for hours!
Delivery: The toy was delivered in one very large brown, cardboard box. The outside of the box had the name of the toy on it, but no pictures. My girls can't read yet, so that worked perfectly for me!
Assembly: Upon opening the package, I appreciated that there wasn't a lot of styrofoam inside. There were several bags to keep the pieces in, and they were all taped to the back of the base. I was worried that the tape would leave a residue on the base, but thankfully I was wrong. The instructions were in the box as well, and were very easy to read. The item does require a screwdriver (more on that in a bit) and a bit of elbow grease as the holes for the screws are not present but rather have to be made by the force of the screw in the plastic (per the instructions). I wouldn't say that was a negative, but it was definitely unexpected and required a tiny bit more time and effort than I was anticipating. Overall, it went together fairly easily, and I (32f) was able to assemble on my own. The only negative to putting it together was the screwdriver issue (mentioned above). There is one spot at the top of the pump where the screwdriver needs to be narrow and long in order to get the screws in without damaging the surrounding plastic. Unfortunately, I was unaware of this and did not have another screwdriver on me, so the plastic was slightly scratched. Nothing too concerning, but something to be aware of.
Play: my girls (2 and 4) love this toy, but I think I love it more! There are so many different learning tools to it (the use of a pump, water being pulled down by gravity, how the water filling the bucket causes it to dump and spin). Plus my girls are excited to go outside and play in the water! I definitely think this toy was a win and was so glad that we got to try it!
One play negative- after the 2nd or 3rd time playing with the toy, the pump stopped working. After messing with it a bit, I realized the tubing that goes up the pump had come loose. It would be beneficial if that could have a better attachment somehow.

It was surprisingly easy to put together. The instructions were easy to follow only took about 15 to 20 minutes before we were up and running. My littles love filling buckets from the water pump and pouring them on each other. We have to refill the water periodically while they are playing so it will cycle back through and come out of the pump. It is a well made toy. My littles have played with it many times so far and it has held up to their playing. The accessory pack that came with it was a nice bonus. The bucket and squirt toys are their favorite. Overall, I'm happy and so are my littles. High quality, well built entertainment for my littles. Highly recommend.</span>

<span itemprop="description">I couldn't wait for the reviews to come in for this new Step2 product to order one for my 3.5 year old. This is really as cool as it looks! My daughter is average sized and can sit comfortably in the "pond" to cool off. The pump handle isn't difficult to operate, but does take some getting used to....maybe my kid just needs to strength train a bit after months of mostly staying indoors! We have only played with it once as it literally arrived this morning, but it is very sturdy. I also like that it has a hole for an umbrella if you have one from a different set (we have the blue baby pool and kiddie picnic table too). Once assembled , it's not really the type of thing you can easily stash in your 1 car garage, so I'm planning to keep it on my patio covered with a tarp. The worst part about this was building it...there weren't pre-drilled holes, so pushing the screws hard enough to get them to twist into the plastic was a bit painful. That said, I put it together alone in about 45 minutes. I definitely recommend this for preschoolers. Younger toddlers could definitely play with it too but might not be able to operate the pump.</span>

Water must be in the bottom before it works, they tend to play in the water and get it everywhere including on them. It’s so much fun for them, keeps them busy. There were no predrilled holes for the screws, but they actually caught and punctured with ease. The instructions were very easy to understand, and guided step by step.
This has a working water pump, and wheel that spins with water. The pump also moves so you can aim it at different features. Filling the well water bucket is always ot of fun.
This provides hours of entertainment for tour littles. This is a perfect addition to patio or backyard. You will love the playtime it provides your children. I recommend this product.</span>
