You definitely need a helper, works well to have one person read ahead and watch the assembly videos online and get the necessary parts for the next step ready while you are working on the current step. I was really happy to see this is actually made in America. It is really sturdy and it must have been an incredible mind or some really powerful engineering software that designed how the parts interlock to reinforce each other and are then held in place by 1 long screw or in other places a hex bolt and nut.Cons- My only real complaint was having to actually crawl under the tunnel to tighten the 4 bolts that connect the bridge to the 2 towers and the VIGs don't show them being that hard to reach. Note: The (2) 2&quot; bolts and (2) 1.5&quot; bolts in this step were reversed in this step, 2&quot; should be used to connect the small tower and the 1.5&quot; should be used to connect the large tower, because there is a recess for the large washers on the large tower side, but not on the small tower side, so the small tower side needed the 2&quot; bolts. The only other thing I recommend is to drill small pilot holes in the premarked points on the plastic for the really long screws or it is really hard to get them started with a screwdriver, powered or manual.In my 56 years I have assembled many toys for birthdays and especially on Christmas Eve. Although this one is the biggest project I have ever taken on, it is well engineered, all the parts needed were there, the printed instructions for each step show the ACTUAL size of the screw, bolt, washer, etc. that you will use and all of the premarked drill points were in the correct place. It was a challenge, but worth the effort. Our grandson has come over every day to play on it since he first saw it. The children love it! It has really made a difference!As far as assembly, it really wasn't that bad but I was trying to do it by myself.
