It's a lot of fun being able to control it with your hand and is fairly easy to figure out how. My kids love playing with it inside. We read the other reviews and won't even attempt to take it out. It does clearly say for indoor use only, so the ones who took it outdoors and gave a bad review are at fault for not following directions. We haven't had any issue with it taking off indoors. They are obsessed with baby Yoda. Which I have to admit, he is cute. This just did not work as expected. Getting it up and running was easy, USB charging was a plus. The helicopter itself is light and very detailed. It comes with extra propellers. Following the directions for flight, we could not get control of this thing. It would fly straight up into the air, you could no longer reach it at this point for any kind of motion control. Then it would proceed to fly around until it hit a wall. During one of the flights, it was on a war path. This is the only point in time that we thought it might actually be motion controlled because it was clearly after us. It was all in good fun but be warned that if it were to hit you in the face, it could really hurt. The little remote can start it up but it has no directional pad. My opinion is that if this had a remote control, it would have been much better. It was short lived as it was no longer working in 4 days, I presume it took too many hits. About 45 minutes of charge time will give you 6-8 minutes of flight. Which is pretty good for this type of thing. This is an indoor only toy, it's not to be taken outside. You will lose it quickly! He hovers well sometimes and I have actually kept him off the ground for over a full minute. The battery lasts well and he is easy to turn off and on. The only thing really to note is that it is terrifying to play with. My five year old daughter is scared of it and begs me to turn it off if I try to play with it, and my older sons use it to torture each other. The device kind of has a mind of it's own so it will just come flying at your face randomly and it does hurt if it hits you. We took it outside and he was doing well with the controls, until he gave it a little too much oomph in his excitement. Baby Yoda took off on his own mission then. Up, up, up he went. He sailed over rooftops, over powerlines. Then we lost sight of him. No clue where he crash landed. I hope he&rsquo;s living his best life in whichever neighbor&rsquo;s yard he landed in. Bottom line, this toy goes way higher than the 15 feet the box claims.
