The sound effects are realistic and sensitive to motion. They react to swings and strikes, just like in the movies. All the pieces easily twist together and can be separated with quick-release buttons for individual play. It is worth noting that only one saber has sounds, as illustrated in the manual, but this doesn't take away from the fun. The sturdy arched handles help to avoid dropping the double saber while performing spin maneuvers. Their flexible plastic clips make them easy to pop on and off of the saber grips. This product is made of high-quality materials and it has been very durable. It has tolerated many hits during battles. This really is a fun toy for any age. My kids haven't stopped playing with it. I got this for my 9-year-old but my teenager often enjoys taking it away from him to play with. They usually like to separate it and each take one of the sabers and engage in battle. Even my husband tried it out and generously took the time to demonstrate to me how it is used. Plus, this premium toy can even be combined with other lightsaber forge sets. It makes a great gift for any child, and it is perfect for Star Wars fans. It was pretty simple to put together the middle piece however is a little weird. It's a duel end sword. It requires batteries which is easy to put is it to put in and it makes noises and it lights up which adds to the fun of the experience. It is very versatile too since you can use it as two singles or one big awesome double sided.
