The characters are well-detailed but beware they're small and easy to lose. Latches opening and closing took a little extra muscle to get open the 1st time - at least for my 5 year old. It is a good size. Their only complaint is that it is a little difficult to get the tiny figures in the seats of the ship. He was super excited and really like it. It&rsquo;s not really a toy you can play with as it&rsquo;s fragile, so it didn&rsquo;t hold his interest too long.
