If you like baby at the table instead to the side with a tray, these are great table protectors. Depending on the age and determination of the child yes, they can get their fingers underneath and unstick them from the table. They&rsquo;re thin and flexible so they roll or fold easily to take on the go, but they&rsquo;re durable enough to take what my 2 year old puts them through. It sticks to the table and his dishes stick to it well without slipping around but if he gets his fingers under the edge he can lift it up. It does the job of making clean up easy. When he&rsquo;s done eating at home I just bring it to the sink to wash it. When we&rsquo;re out I usually give it and his toddler dish a once over with a wipe, pop them the wet/dry bag I keep on his diaper bag, and wash it all when we get home.
