First of all the spring in the battery chamber was missing so we had to Jerry rig it to even get it to work. Then the first use the leg snapped when trying to land. It requires batteries that aren&rsquo;t included. As soon as you get started it will shoot straight up super high in the air. It is kind of hard to maneuver it and get it to which direction you want it to go. Other than that my kids had a blast playing with it. I need to tell you about this whole Spider-Man helicopter situation. So, you know how the boys are obsessed with all things Marvel, right? And I'm all about finding toys that get them off the iPad and actually, you know, doing something with their hands. So I received&nbsp; this World Tech Toys Spider-Man helicopter to try,&nbsp;and thought, &quot;Perfect! It's a flying Spidey, what could go wrong?&quot;Well, let me just tell you. Our first attempt? Total, unmitigated disaster.We got it all charged up, put fresh batteries in the remote&mdash;I mean, I did all the mom things. The boys were so excited, and even Coco, my silver lab, was wagging her tail like crazy, probably thinking it was some new kind of flying squeaky toy. We turn it on, and it just... lurches. It's supposed to hover with some fancy-schmancy infrared sensor, but it just went straight for the ceiling like a rocket on a mission to put a hole in our drywall.I tried to use the remote, but it was like I was speaking a different language. The thing just kept spinning and crashing into everything. The fan blades were going crazy, it smacked into a lamp, and then it nose-dived right into Coco's bed. The boys were screaming with a mixture of fear and laughter, and I was just trying to figure out how to shut the thing off before it took out a window. It was pure chaos, total fail.I think the problem was, I just didn't get the hang of the remote. It felt way more sensitive than I expected. Like, I was trying to gently lift it, and it just took off like a bat out of... well, you know. I'm pretty sure I broke a little piece off a propeller. So, yeah, our first flight was grounded before it even got to a second.But hey, you live and you learn, right? I'm going to watch one of those YouTube tutorials and give it another shot. Because a mom's gotta stay cool, even when her kids' toys are trying to wage war on her living room.
