No big deal! Otherwise, it&rsquo;s a really cool toy! The wheels light up, it spins around in a circle and it&rsquo;s pretty quick. The remote is a circle so it kind of makes you feel like it&rsquo;s a steering wheel but it&rsquo;s simple to use and operate. Also Sonics arms and hands are possible! The kids are a huge Sonic fan, so they were so excited when they saw it. They couldn't wait for me to install the batteries. This keeps them entertained for a long time. The ring controller is easy for them to use. Sonic moves forward, turns and spins. The turbo mode makes it go fast and the wheels light up. This is so much fun to watch and everyone enjoys it. Great for any Sonic fan. My 3 and 8 year olds love this toy. The remote looks like one of Sonic&rsquo;s golden rings. It has a forward mode and a button you push for him to spin. There is a button for his wheels to light up blue and works when you push with the forward or spin button. Both the remote and sonic have on/off buttons. When you turn the gold ring remote on a red light will flash constantly on and off. If you turn the switch on Sonic off then back on the red light stops flashing and stays on and then the remote and Sonic are ready for play. It goes pretty fast! Only downside is that Sonic uses 6 AA batteries and the remote needs 2. However, the toy&rsquo;s finicky controls reduce its long-term interest for kids, and its voracious appetite for batteries make it annoying for parents. The R/C toy looks quite good. It&rsquo;s a lean, mean Sonic on a sort of skateboard, and it has articulated joints that allow you to make lots of cool poses. The controller itself is shaped like a golden ring collectible item from the video game. It looks neat, though the circular shape makes the device slightly less functional in that it becomes harder to locate the button that you want to press. Sonic definitely GOES. It&rsquo;s faster than other R/C toys my kids have, and it turns on a dime, making the toy a blue blur. My kids got a kick out of making Sonic fly around the house. Their interest waned pretty quickly, however. The device has three buttons: go, spin, and &ldquo;turbo.&rdquo; The manual claims that the turbo mode makes the wheels light up and increases the device&rsquo;s speed. It certainly does the former, but I don&rsquo;t detect any speed increase. The spin button makes the toy turn remarkably quickly. It&rsquo;s a neat effect, but it is not at all useful for controlling the direction of the device given how fast it spins. In short, the toy can&rsquo;t be guided in a meaningful way. The fun lies entirely in sending it skittering around the place more or less at random. I am annoyed that the toy requires eight AA batteries. That seems excessive! Moreover, after an afternoon of playing with the toy, the batteries were already depleted. It may be the case that my kids left the toy and the remote control turned on after they finished playing with it. When they tried to play with it later that evening, the batteries were already spent. Whether the toy ran out of juice in one round of playing or whether my kids neglected to turn everything off, I&rsquo;m not happy, and I&rsquo;m unwilling to put eight more batteries into a toy that my kids have already forgotten about. I think the toy is neat, and I understand that in order to be true to the fundamental characteristics of Sonic, the thing needs to be fast and to spin.
