We set it all up and the whole family enjoyed it for a few hours. Used them for about a week and didn&rsquo;t abuse the robots, made sure to turn everything off, kept in a box. Then one day the red robot would not do anything. It would turn on and make its normal start sound. Tried new batteries in the robot and remote, nothing! Swapped batteries with the white one just to be sure we had good ones and it worked fine. The toys are nice and sturdy. Doesn&rsquo;t seem easily breakable. The only downside is that you have to buy batteries for both remotes and both robots. The remotes take 2 and the robots take 3. They each get to be a robot and fight each other. The controls are easy to use but they took a little getting used to. There is no reverse so you just have to spin around until you face the direction you want to go. It has fun sounds and my kids liked when they landed a punch on their opponent's chest that sent the robot's head flying off. Both of my kids (7 and 5) get a lot of use out of them. It&rsquo;s even fun for parents to get in on the action! The setup is super easy and straightforward. Install the batteries and you&rsquo;re ready to go. The controllers take a bit of getting used to as there are a lot of buttons and options to do very quickly. After a few minutes however, you&rsquo;ll be a pro. The goal of the game is simple. Hit your opponents center target twice. The robots head will fly off, but you&rsquo;ll still be able to battle. You can even do combo punches using the controller. There is an option for 1 player to play against the other robot that uses AI, which is pretty neat. In addition, each controller and robot are a different color. One negative in my opinion are all the batteries this toy needs, none of which are included. Each controller needs 2 AAA batteries and each robot needs 3 AA batteries. In total, that&rsquo;s 4 AAA and 6 AA batteries. I wish the controllers and robots could be charged using a USB cable. That would make it much more convenient and you would save money on batteries as well. Overall, this is a fun toy that is well made. Battles can last a few seconds or a few minutes. My kids did get bored with it after a few days of playing it constantly, so it&rsquo;s not something they&rsquo;ll continuously play with over a long period of time. The concept is super rad, and the controls and size of controller are perfect for younger kids as well as adults, however... the robot throws itself from side to side to move forward making it really hard to control and its really frustrating to play with. The button takes 1 punch to eject, not 2 as mentioned on the instructions as well. Think of these are like rc rocket sockem robots where the goal is to use the controllers to move the robots and hit the other robot to send they character flying, and there are two mode vs where two players can play and they have a solo if you kid just wants to play by themselves. I love how easily these move, and while it takes a minute to get use to the controls it really easy to get use to. I would definitely suggest not starting the robots to far apart becasue there is no backward control so they have to complete turn if they miss each other and you have to move them yourself if they get stuck at say a wall or anything. We had a lot of fun using the controls to move and the arm controls to hit and it&rsquo;s not to hard to hit the buttons to send they character flying so it&rsquo;s not frustrating to play and you can play quick rounds if your short on time but still want to have fun. Even as a grown adult I couldn&rsquo;t stop playing and seeing the cute little figures flying was just too funny especially with the faces on them. Another plus about the figure is they fit in either robot so you can switch the colors if you wanted. Also your kids could just use these are rc robots so they are definitely sure to get plenty of uses out of these which is definitely nice. These do require 6 AA batteries and 4AAA batteries so make sure to get some before playing. The robots are wirelessly remote controlled (they run on 2 AAA batteries) and the robots only need 3 AA batteries. You get hours of fun with these robots. My husband has even taken over the remote to compete too. Once they get a jab in the right spot the head pops off, very cool.
