<span itemprop="description">Very simple to use. There was a SCAN ME feature that when scanned provided visuals and a video. Only a couple things I would note, to apply the batteries, you need a screwdriver to remove the cap, then you can insert the batteries. This may become more difficult if you don't have the correct small screwdriver. Also I have multiple children and I would be wanting to use it in multiple ears, there is no sanitary cap for this option. I do like that there is a cap for the top for storing and it is an overall simple product. Now the only issue is to get the child to hold still when utilizing it.</span>

<span itemprop="description">As far as non-contact thermometers go, it's not a bad product. Unfortunately, most non-contact thermometers aren't very accurate. Even if you take the measurement in the exact same place, you can get two different readings. The difference between normal temperature and a fever is just a few degrees. The procedure of pulling it back from the child and it "auto-measuring" is a decent way to try to make readings more repeatable.</span>

Do follow the directions where it says to point it right at the center of the forehead because if your child moves and it reads another part of their face the temperatures are inconsistent. Personally if I feel like something is wrong with my baby I take her to the doctor. Not everyone has that privilege so I think in those scenarios it would be beneficial and I would recommend this product.</span>

It's designed to prevent over-insertion (even with baby q-tips, I still get worried when it comes to those little ears), the soft LED light makes for easy and clear viewing into those cute ears, and it's washable (so no purchasing those tiny covers I can never seem to find in the store). It's amazing how much more I can see! I can make sure my son's ears stay clean and when he starts to show signs of a possible infection, I can check things out before racing to the pediatrician!</span>

<span itemprop="description">I love the Simple scan forehead thermometer! It's so easy to use, it works in less than 60 seconds, quick and easy when it comes to small children. My only issue was that the batteries that it came with, were useless, they didn't work. It's a good thing that I keep extra batteries in the house for just such an emergency. If you're looking for a quick and easy to use thermometer, safety first is the way to go!</span>

Hello, thank you for your question! Per the instructions, While the thermometer is ON, press and hold the MODE and MEMORY buttons for about 1 second until you see the &deg;F or &deg;C. Release buttons.
