Each player presses the button, which makes the dinosaur chomp. The winner of the battle is the one who manages to bite the mouth of the other dinosaur and pull it off its stand. There was a bit of a learning curve with how to reattach the dinosaurs to their stands, but once the kids figured that out, they were good to go! This is a lot of fun. It's a little trickier to win, but for kids especially, that makes it even more fun. They don&rsquo;t move at all except for the mouths. It would be better if they could strike out further or move around a little more. They are sturdy and they look great. They are also very easy to put together. My 4 year old loves the have the dinos battle. They are ready to use and can be played with both on and off the stand. They get a lot of attention from both of my boys and while probably be played with for a while. However, the actual concept of Rock Em Sock Em just doesn't work out. Trying to get your dinosaur to open their mouth and grab the other dinosaur to pull it off the base is just too complicated for little hands. Even I as the adult struggled to get it right and we just end up frustrated. Kids lost interest in the actual &quot;game&quot; really quickly when they couldn't win. This is a great game for your young dinosaur fans. My four year old was able to easily learn how to play and was able to put the two pieces together with ease. The reason for 4 stars and not 5 is I would have preferred the dinosaurs be on a base like the original game and have the dinosaur head pop up like the robot version. I see why the two pieces are disconnected but it does make it more difficult to keep your 4 year old from walking off with one dinosaur and not play the game. On the plus side, the game pieces are made of quality plastic, the design and graphics on each dinosaur are high quality.
