It's rechargeable I love that not buying tons of batteries or tossing tons of batteries. The remote does require 4 AA batteries but seem to last I haven't replaced mine but have played many hours with the drone. You get 4 extra propeller blades. The charger only comes with the cord no cube for the wall but we all have extra usb cubes or charger slots available these days. This Drone isn't loud but not silent either just a low hum to it. Now...... for real practice in the house, I crashed 10,000 times and sucked up the instructions and chewed part of them up honestly it was hilarious. I literally couldn't get it to go forward.. like just let me hit the forward button on the remote forward just lifts it up, you have to practice, practice. My husband figured it our way before me (lol). Now to clarify I'm 41 and he's 46 years old... kids however seem to pick up the controls and take flight. It says not for children under 3 on the box, but I would say probably 7 years old would be the youngest I would recommend. A preteen will definitely have fun playing with this and you don't have to worry about camera's or drone school. My adult children were doing stunts and having a blast playing with it, (everything at our house turns to a competition!) landing on a dime actually became a thing. Buy one and take it to the next family reunion ( winner takes it home ) or buy one for your next function as a boredom buster! Everyone will want to get a chance to try it out. I did so but never could really get the trim set perfectly so it could pretty much hover. When I took it outside, it is so lite that it seems like the slightest breeze would push it. It is made mostly from styrofoam so if it falls the landings are not very hard. It is so much fun operating it. It&rsquo;s so easy to use. Very user friendly and easy to use. It is remote control operated one and has long range controls to it. It&rsquo;s light weight and sleek design of the body helps to fly the drone with no effort. Wheels are fixed for smooth landing. Initially until we figure out how to control it was little struggle to use it but once u got hold of it it&rsquo;s super easy to fly to different levels of altitudes. It Performs 360-degree flips and stunts! Gyro stabilization and auto orientation flight control helps keep the plane steady as you zip, dive, and climb. It has 10 built-in LED lights so you can watch your drone even during nighttime flights. The best part of this drone is it comes equipped with a rechargeable lithium battery we just have to plug it in and it's ready to take flight. My son spends hours using this drone in this summer vacation. It is really helping to keep my son away from screen.it&rsquo;s performance is excellent. I understand it has to be light to fly but right out of the box the body seems really flimsy. The flight controls are rather detailed so I would t recommend this for first timers or younger kids. It looks super cool, like an actual jet. I was surprised that it is made of a sort of styrofoam material. Sure, it's light but didn't seen like it would last long. My kids loved that it crashed a lot but also weren't able to reliably control it. Once my husband took over he was able to get it going ok but after crashing a few more times the propeller wouldn't stop when he released the remote button. He turned it off for a while and it started working again, only for the same thing to happen a short time later. It didn&rsquo;t take long to get everything set up and ready to go. The drone flew up and down just fine, but it had trouble going any other direction even though we kept trying. Unfortunately a gust of wind took the drone and it flew off and we weren&rsquo;t able to find it. We couldn&rsquo;t see all that it could do. The drone itself takes about 2 hours to fully charge and the remote control will need AA batteries (not included). I used it both indoors and outdoors and had pretty much the same experience in both locations. I did have issues with constant drifting and regardless of what direction I tried to direct the drone it mainly stayed in 1 general spot. Take off and landing were the only commands that worked effectively on a continuous basis. Even after following the instructions, I was only able to get the drone to complete a barrel roll once after many attempts The positives for this drone is that it is made of a light weight foam and it seemed to withhold crashes and lessened worries of it causing damage when flying indoors. Another positive is that it comes with replacement propellers in case one is damaged or breaks. I also really liked the singular &quot;flight&quot; button, which makes for an easier take off and landing. Negatives are that a full charge equals less than 10 minutes of flight time. I also found the remote control to be overly complicated and the instruction manual also seemed a bit lengthy and confusing. The biggest con is the drifting, which occurs even when the &quot;trim&quot; button is pressed which is supposed to reduce drift. I really like the light weight foam of the drone but flying it outdoors in any sort of wind is pretty much impossible.
