I didn't think it looked very soft, though, so I bought a piece of foam to put over the top. Covered with a sheet, and my toddler slept great on it in the hotel last weekend. However when you have limited space on a trip the whole point of a folding cot was to take up less space, not have to pack additional cushions. It doesnt look very comfy to me, but he loves to sleep in it and doesnt complain. They were used for the hotel and gosh I am glad we bought these! My kids had their own little bed to sleep on. During the evening they even watched movies and would hang out on them during down time. These cots will come in handy for future vacations. They are light weight, come with a sheet, easy to set up/fold up.....real space saver. They will come in handy not only with the daycare but for our own family camping trips as well as trips to the grandparents. I thought it would be useful for when he takes naps because it is low to the ground and looked comfortable. But this product has so many more purposes then I thought, that I purchased another. Even my daughter purchased one for their home. My grandson first started out taking naps on the my cot and instantly loved &quot;his own little bed&quot;. Soon he would want to set it up to watch movies on. And when I started bringing it to the park I realized I was going to have to get another one. So we have one for indoors and one for outdoors. This is such a neat little product.
