Charged it up overnight for approx 13 hours. When she took it out for a ride the thing moved slower than if she were to just keep kicking. And it would just stop after about 7 ft. This thing was absolutely worthless and we returned it the next day. My daughter loved it though and used it almost daily since purchasing on November 6th then yesterday it just stopped working on December 20th. We always followed all the directions with charging and it was stored indoors. She's tried out bigger electric scooters before and they were a but heavy, went too fast and were scary for her. But this one is like a regular scooter, it just has a motor that kicks in once she pushes to get it going. It goes a good speed and she zips around the neighborhood. It sneaks in some exercise (kick start) while offering fun for the kids. Has nice speed to it. Was enjoyed by littles from ages 4 to 30. The light up is really cool to see at night and great safety feature. Only Downside... if you focus on the suggested age (9+), the littler ones will miss out on a lot of fun and the older ones may be getting too tall for the small design of the scooter. My kids, nieces and neighbor kids loved it way more than the other scooters they have used. It's electric fun, but not crazy speedy like some. The colorful lights help with how dark it gets outside so early now. My 7-year-old daughter spends hours every day riding her scooter and attempting tricks with it. During this pandemic, we've all been needing to get out for fresh air more often. With this scooter, we can go for family walks any time, even after sunset! The fun glow makes it a hit with kiddos of all ages, but it also makes it easy to see them playing. I was worried there would be a big learning curve to use this, but it took just a few minutes of playing around before my daughter had it figured out. I cannot recommend this enough. My only wish is that it had a kickstand. We charge it in our foyer, and it falls over from time to time. She was happy to have her own girly colored scooter and was excited about the lights. She did most of putting it together herself. She didn't realize that it was electric so when she went off to try it she was so excited and surprised that it had that power element. She of curse wanted to try it out right away.
