I actually bought this for my youngest son who is 2 3/4 yrs. old. He is very young for this type of scooter, but having 2 older brothers who have their own razors, he has already learned how to use a 2-wheel razor. That said, the scooters are very durable and take a lot of 'boy' abuse, and all 3 razors have stayed in good shape. The only thing I felt could be improved on is the instruction manual. There is nothing explaining how to fold the scooter for travelling purposes, and we had to figure this out on our own with a little finagling.
