He is 4 (almost 5) years old. The clock aspect, that you don't want to pull a clock card and have to move the clock closer to midnight is fun for him and adds a 'suspenseful' element; otherwise this would be boring! I gave it 4 stars instead of 5 because after you've played it a few times, you start to learn where everything you may have to look for is, so you lose the fun of looking.
