The car is sturdy and rolls well on both carpet and hard surfaces. Upon receiving the product, it required one easy step to set up and was ready for play in less than 3 minutes. The color of the car (pastel pink and purple) is not an eyesore compared to other brands of ride on cars! There is a button on the steering wheel that produces a mild 'beep' as well as two other features (key ignition and rear spare tire) that clicks, but none of these I find annoying like the battery powered singing or talking push toys. Since receiving the car my son has not stopped playing with it. As a parent here are a few features that I love most: the interactive features are not loud, the horn squeaks but it's not loud. In a world full of very loud toys, the clicking or horn sound is a nice break and does not overstimulate the kids. My second favorite feature is there is what looks like an &quot;exhaust&quot; under the car that works as a large stopper to help prevent kids from tipping backwards while riding on the car. I did have some trouble lifting the back bar of the car to get it to a higher position. I had to firmly put my hand on the seat to do so this was not listed in the instructions. Otherwise, my daughter really enjoys the toy! She loves the seat flap that lifts up and uses it like a compartment to hide fun toys. She can easily scoot around the house and I can push her forward and back and it rolls with ease. She also likes to steer the car and press on the beeping horn, however, the steering wheel on the car does not change directions for the rider. To move the car right or left you have to do so with your feet or the back handle. The car also features gears and Counting beads on the front. Her 6 year old brother used the handle to push her and they both enjoyed that feature. She then loved pushing it herself. The handle is not something easy for adults to walk and push. This is definitely something for a child to just use and use his or her feet to scoot it, which my 2 year old did with no problem. We have two other ride ons and she never goes on them. Maybe she feels this is just hers or maybe she enjoys the size. It's the perfect size for her. I would 100 percent recommend this ride on for a one or 2 year old. I like that it doesn&rsquo;t take batteries and has no lights and sounds besides the squeaky horn she can push on. It&rsquo;s very lightweight and she can easily lift it up to turn it. Which means I won&rsquo;t let her take it outside since the wheels are plastic and I don&rsquo;t want the cement tearing them up. She&rsquo;s already ramming into things so I&rsquo;m not sure how long the plastic will hold up but it seems durable enough to take a several more impacts. She likes the seat that lifts up and there&rsquo;s a little notch on the back for her little finger to lift it and store her toys in. Loves the side mirrors she can adjust and open up. I like that the gas cap has a string so she won&rsquo;t lose it and she gets to practice turning it in and out. My 4 year old is already trying to ride on the back of it with her and it seems to support them both though it&rsquo;s made for one child.
