She is 4 and also loves all things girly and carries a purse everywhere so this was sure to be a big hit with her. The Polly Pocket seashell purse did not disappoint! My daughter loves playing with Polly and Lila and pretending they are on adventures under the sea with all of the cute activities inside. She especially loves to have them both spin with the octopus, hang out together in the sandcastle (which she refers to as their hangout), surf, and ride the seahorse that reminds her of playing at the playground. Opening and closing the purse gave her some trouble at first but she is able to use the clasp fine now. The only feature that is a little disappointing are the POLLYSTICK stickers. This is a really cool idea but within the first hour of playing with the toy, she could no longer get Polly and Lila to stick and stay on the stickers. She was a little disappointed but has quickly forgotten about that functionality and really does love this toy. It has a strap for carrying like a purse, you you can hook it on a belt. It is larger than a traditional set, and there are several different play areas. I feel 2 kids can easily play together with this, something not as easy to do with other Polly Pocket toys. The seashell inside is tricky at first to open up and the purse sticks when trying to close. There is a latch that has to be pushed in order to shut the purse all the way or it falls open. It's a fun purse for little girls. It would be a great idea for a birthday or Christmas gift too. I don't think it would cost much either. I love the option to attach it to my daughther wistbelt if she chooses. Its nice pretend fun with a seashell underwater theme. The two little figures are flexible to ride in the ship, spin around on the octopus or swing in the starfish opening. My daughter likes to spin the the shark and fish around and the start fish opening. She is 6 years old and on the Autism spectrum, and minus some minor small-motor issues, such as getting the characters into the swing, or opening/closing the purse, my daughter is so enamored. We had gone for a drive and to pick up things at the store, and while my husband ran into the store, Kiddo got her gift. It was much bigger than I thought it would be; super awesome! It makes a perfect traveling toy because everything is compact, but spacious, with multiples ways to carry it (as a purse, or attached to one's belt). I had the original Polly Pockets from the 80s and 90s, I remember struggling with getting them into the little holes that held them in place. However, the new Polly Pockets are slightly bigger (still pocket-sized, but big enough to find easily if dropped), and have &quot;sticky&quot; feet, along with special stickers you can place wherever you want that Polly sticks to. Really great design there. We really loved all the features inside, esp the submarine and octopus ride. It is like an underwater playground, and she looooves the park. Her favorites are the anchor and the swing inside the castle. She also had &quot;Pilly and Polly&quot; play hide and seek within the castle part. Sososo cute. Would def recommend for kids 4 and up, and for those in OT for small motor-functioning issues, this would be a great toy to exercise hands, but also have things they could do without help.
