Instead they were bigger than I expected. They held my daughters attention for a bit but she then got bored with them. The clothes are squishy silicone and fit on the doll's bodies perfectly - and stay on. There are plenty of outfits to mix and match and fun accessories. She loves polly pocket. She loved the variety of outfits and choices. She played for a long time with it, swapping outfits and shoes and all the pieces. Only concern as a parent is all the pieces and nothing to store them in. There are so many great outfit choices. The color-change effect makes for enjoyable waterplay - it's always a fun surprise when things change color. We ended up receiving a rock band set rather than the mermaids we thought we were getting, but it was still a hit!! This is our first set of these dolls, and my daughter's favorite part is that it comes with so many outfit pieces that she can mix and match! The clothing pieces are fairly easy to get on and off, even for my almost-3-yr-old who jumped in to play too. And some of the clothes in the rock band set glow in the dark, which is a fun detail. We mixed and matched outfits for at least an hour before anyone got bored! This pop star set can be a great addition to all the other Polly Pocket sets. The pop star Polly pockets are special because some of the outfits glow in the dark. My daughter was so excited to get those pieces out of the package and run to a dark place. All of the 28 pieces in this set are cute. The only thing my daughter did notice was that one of the headbands does not fit on the girl with the long hair. Other than that all the pieces are easy to get on the dolls and they also fit all of her other Polly pocket dolls. There are 2 dolls and a ton of accessories. She needed minimal help dressing and undressing the dolls. If she were any younger she would have needed more help dressing/undressing them. The pack we have glows in the dark and my daughter had alot of fun with that. I would definitely recommend these they're perfect for kids her age because they're decently easy to dress while some other similar toys she still needs my help. The dolls and clothes were also pretty durable and stretchy so I see these lasting a long time and getting alot of play. She, and I, did not like how the Polly pockets have black and blue painted on true dolls legs, it makes the clothes look silly, in our opinion, the legs should have been skin color. The pink guitar it came with is useless, doesn&rsquo;t fit correctly and falls right off. One of the pink dresses is poofy and looks irregular. These two dolls kept her entertained for quite awhile with the multiple outfits and looks she could create. The glow in the dark pieces were a fun touch as well! It&rsquo;s a great addition to her other Polly Pocket sets. My 8 yr old daughter really enjoys playing with this set because it&rsquo;s different from her other Polly pocket doll clothes. This would be a great gift on its own or addition to existing sets. As far as dolls the blonde and brunette dolls will not stand up on their own. The tiny shoes will get lost immediately if you don&rsquo;t put them in a container or baggy. The plus is that all the outfits do mix and match together. Fairly easy for my 8 yr old to dress each doll on her own since the clothes do stretch without ripping.
