My child couldn&rsquo;t wait to open it all at once however so it didn&rsquo;t actually work as an advent. They did complain that some of the pieces didn&rsquo;t fit as intended though which made them a little frustrated. The fact there is a surprise a day and then could play with it after was just wonderful. Since it was not the holidays yet we will wait to open all the little pieces until then but was able to get a sneak peek at what was included and was impressed with the variety. All of the kids enjoyed opening the different windows, I love that it becomes a store playset when the calendar countdown is done. There are 2 dolls and a car included in the set as well as things for the store like a cart, register, and toys. The set can be used as is or it can be added to other Polly Pocket sets. This is the perfect gift for someone who wants a little bit of a surprise along with the fun that generally comes with Polly Pocket stuff. It sort of brings me back to my own childhood, because I too played with these toys as a kid. Except, in today's world, the toys are even better than they were when I was little. All of the items included in this advent are awesome for ay polly pocket enthusiast. Please note that the back of the box does in fact tell you everything in it, so, if it's a present and you want it to stay a surprise, find a way to cover that. If you don't mind, then you can leave it up. Also, note the age limit on the box as these pieces are often small (it IS Polly Pocket after all) and are definitely a choking hazard for littles. Definitely designed for children 4 years and older. It actually comes with 31 pieces. Once all the 24 compartments are opened, this leads to a fun creative Christmas village scene! The scene is made of sturdy plastic, along with the dividers and doors. This does require some adult assembly. On the section dividers are little studs that hold the the little trinkets in place! This is a big plus! Keeps them firmly in place when playing. It&rsquo;s bright and colorful and attracts attention. The people&rsquo;s arms and legs move, that allows them to sit in the car, or on a chair. There are so many different set ups for this set, plenty of pieces and just needs a little imagination! As an advent calendar, doors are usually opened one per day, taking 24 days to complete. We opened everything at once and it was laughter and giggling with every door. This is a good quality toy. A plastic Mini Gingerbread house contains all the advent pieces, 24 in total, numbered 1 to 24. The plastic dollhouse is to be used as the playset for all the pieces once opened. There are Christmas &amp; winter scenes on both the front and back of the house. It is well made and very sturdy. Once all the numbered doors are open, the floors on the dollhouse need to be assembled. There are lots of fun pieces to this playset plus the dollhouse. It was a big hit here. It has a great play value and should keep a child's interest for a long time. Polly Pocket is a micro mini doll, There are 2 dolls included. Your child will have fun adventures with this playset. It has a small footprint, it doesn't take up much space and can be easily stored. It will also travel well.
