The truck was very simple to put together following the clear instructions that came with the truck. We loved that the instructions showed us pictures for each step, with arrows showing us where the parts go. The truck bed lifts up with hydraulics from the truck bed, and the back of the box opens up to dump the items out. The cab of the truck flips forward revealing the trucks motor, etc. My son loves that part, that he can learn about the motor and where it is. The top part of the cab comes off for the ease of putting the driver in and taking him out. The wire mesh box is a cool accessory that comes with for even more fun to be had. The set includes the truck and three interchangeable back pieces including an adjustable open-box bed, a flatbed, and a small red cage. You can switch these pieces out to customize the truck for various tasks. The set also includes a construction worker and several other props including two construction cones, a diesel can, a rake, two miniature bags of concrete, and two plastic cables for the cable wench. I was very impressed by how everything opens up or can be adjusted. For example, you can raise or lower the open-box bed on the back of the truck, the back of the open-box bed opens up so you can actually dump out sand or dirt, lift up the front of the truck to see the engine, and even lift a tab on the side to access the gas tank. My kid usually gets tired of toys within a day or two but this set has really kept him occupied.
