On that layer this is an amazing toy. HOWEVER. It's messy. It's REALLY messy. There's glitter, lots of little pieces, etc. Put a towel down, be prepared to vacuum after, etc. It's also really sneaky. It encourages kids to tear play dough apart and to leave it out. Behaviors that make it dry out and make YOU need to buy more. VERY high maintenance. Overall, this is a very good toy. Great from the kids perspective, good from a parents perspective. My daughter loves making pretend treats and serving them up to the family. The colors that are included in this set are perfect for all the ice cream creations and I love that every space on the set has been utilized for making little candy toppings. There are so many possibilities and it keeps my child busy for a long time. Her favorite is probably making sprinkles with the sprinkle extruder. I also think the drizzle is a super cool and unique offering, however, I wish it would set quicker and not stain. I definitely have to be the one to do the drizzle so my child doesn't make a giant mess. The drizzle is also not reusable so it would be great for Play-Doh to offer drizzle refills for purchase. My child had no issues with creating the play-doh ice cream doh with the dispenser and was easy to dispense the doh. It includes several plastic cones and bowls to hold the ice cream doh. The drizzle hardens a little after a bit but doesn't ruin the doh and it stays wet enough at first to add the confetti sprinkle doh to. We found that the drizzle does mix into the doh with no issue so it can be reused again which is cool. The sprinkles fail to look anything remotely like them, the ice cream swirls out in a very uneven manner and any of the toppings are difficult to keep their original shape while being pried out of the mold. The instructions lack any wording, easy for kids but lack any details for adults either. This set is constructed and is very difficult to take apart for easy storage. Also, the dye in the drizzle stains whatever it touches and is not good to leave unattended with young children. Now I will admit we both had fun. The scent! Playing with the play-doh had awakened my senses and brought back so many wonderful memories from when I was a kid. Now that I&rsquo;m a mom I get to share the experience with my kids. My family absolutely loved playing with this play-doh ice cream maker play set. Not only was it quick and easy to put together, but the set comes with a few different colors to help add to the creativity. My daughters absolutely loved picking out the different cups and mixing colors and pressing the handle watching it swirl together. They also loved making the different shapes with the molds. I was curious about the &ldquo;strawberry&rdquo; and &ldquo;chocolate&rdquo; play doh topping, it was easy to use, and it looked really cool and realistic! It brought a nice finishing touch to the playdoh ice creams that my daughters designed. After a couple of minutes, we were able to pull the &ldquo;strawberry&rdquo; and &ldquo;chocolate&rdquo; toppings off in one piece like a gel. The pros for the play doh, are that it was easy and fun to use. It brought hours of entertainment for the entire family. The cons for the play-doh was that once the colors are mixed, they cannot be separated. The ice cream maker play set must be cleaned off within a couple hours of using the play doh or it hardens and becomes difficult to clean up. The cons are more of a slight inconvenience and not really a con. The whole set was cool and so much fun to play with!
