Great gift set to give and have
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I am impressed with this gift set. They were items that I did not know I needed until I had them. The formula dispenser is my favorite. It is great to have for always being on the go and my toddler even gets to use it to put her snacks in sometimes. The pacifier is the only pacifier my baby will take so that is a life-saver. The bottle brush is perfect so it is only used for the bottles and nothing else, it gives me peace of mind for cleaner bottles. My baby however did not like the Avent bottle however and would not take it. I received this product for the weeSpring Parent Panel.

Great Starter Set
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I planned on breastfeeding my little girl for the first year, however, I ended up not having the supply to exclusively breastfeed. I had no choice but to supplement and get her used to bottle feeding very early on. We tried several popular brands, but wanted a bottle that worked for her and also that didn't have a million parts to wash. We received this Philips Avnet Gift Set and started off with the Philips Avent 4oz. bottles and we are up to using the 9oz bottles now. She loves them and so do we! She has had no problems switching back and forth from the breast to the bottle or the soothie pacifier. The bottle lids are a little hard to pop off, but we really only use a lid when we are on the go. The bottles are very easy to open and close with one hand! They do not leak and she has had no problems with colic or tummy issues. We like the different flow rates for the different nipples, but it is inconvenient having to try and find the correct number in the middle of the night. The numbers are hard to see when you're in a hurry. The formula dispenser is perfect; the lid is so easy to open and close! It doesn't pop off so hard that you get formula everywhere, and the dividers are removable so you can use it as a snack container later on. Double duty products are the best! The bottle brush I do not like because there no way to stand it up so it can dry. There's a hole in the handle so you can hang it, but I have nowhere for it to hang. It does clean the bottle nicely and very easily, but I don't feel like it cleans the nipple very well. The soothie pacifier is the best! It was recommended by the lactation consultant at our pediatrician's office and our daughter loves it! This gift set would be a great baby shower gift for new parents. Thank you to weeSpring Parent Panel for sending me this Philips Avent Gift Set to try and review.

Mom win all around!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I am a nursing and pumping mama. We have used the Avent Natural bottles for both of my children both (3 and 5 months) who were exclusively breastfed. The nipples are great for breastfed babies to adjust to without causing nipple confusion. One AMAZING detail that I discovered is that the bottles in this gift set are compatible with my pump! This made my life a million times easier as a mom with an oversupply. I particularly loved the large bottles for this purpose and I would buy the set just for this feature alone. Win win for dual purpose! That means more of precious cabinet space since we only have to invest in Avent bottles! My newest baby boy loved the Soothie pacifier. It is easy to disinfect and he often will put his thumb in it was well to soothe himself. Which is priceless when you are a mom of a teething baby and a toddler! My only complaints with this set were very trivial. The lid covers on the bottles are very difficult to remove when you have a super fussy baby. I sometimes have to sit the baby down and fool with it for a second to get it off especially if the bottle has been refrigerated. I wish the lid had some ridges to help grip. I found the bottle brush to be super useful. I have used many brands before, so I am picky! It was great for removing the sometimes greasy residue breastmilk can leave behind. My only complaint would be that I wish the set came with a brush especially for cleaning the nipples. It was hard to use this brush to really scrub in those nooks and crannies. Overall, I am really happy with this set! The bottles have held up great in the dishwasher. Even my Avent bottles from 3 years ago are still holding up strong. The nipple flow of the smallest nipple was perfect for my breastfed babies. I would recommend this set for any new mom to add to her registry. It takes away the worrying of feeding time and the "What all do I really need?" questions all of us new moms always have. Thank you so much to the weeSpring Parent Panel for supplying me with this product to review!

A better baby bottle
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I would highly recommend this set for expecting and new parents. My baby has been bottle-fed almost since birth. We started with a different brand of bottles, but after trying the Philips Avent bottle set, we quickly switched to using these exclusively. They are easier to hold, easier to clean, the lid keeps them from leaking (unlike other bottles), and the baby latches onto them better. The formula dispenser seems like a great option for powder formula, but it doesn’t work for our liquid concentrate formula. I look forward to trying it with snacks when the baby is old enough. The bottle brush is sturdy and reaches into the crevices. Some of the lids loosened a bit as they’ve been used more, but it hasn’t been a big deal. Overall, I’ve been very impressed with these bottles. This gift set would be ideal for registries and baby shower gifts.

Good set for the breastfed or formula fed baby
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I had a tough time breastfeeding, so when it came time to return to work I had a huge surprise... baby would NOT take a bottle! I had tried everything it seemed! Then, right in time, I received this gift set to try from the weeSpring parent panel.
The bottles were great because they were small, and the nipple was similar to a real nipple. The cleaning brush is great - soft bristles that I can use even with other bottles, and the corkscrew cleany- thing on the bottom is cool to make sure all the books and crannies are clean.
My husband uses the formula dispenser more than I do, but he likes it a lot for outings!
The pacifier is the best and the only one I use :)

GREAT BOTTLE SET WITH EVERYTHING YOU NEED TO GET STARTED
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] As a first time parent we were unsure what bottles to pick and what bottles our little one would take to the best. We tried multiple bottles from different companies and each time our little one seemed to take to them differently. This bottle set however was perfect for our little guy.
The large nipple seems to make it very easy for him to latch on to. This set came with both small and large bottles and 2 different flow nipples. The smaller bottle was great for our son when we was a newborn and did not need much formula. It was also great to have the larger bottles as our little guy has a large appetite and quickly started taking more formula than would fit in the smaller bottles.
The set also came with 2 different flow nipples. The #1 nipple was again great for our son up until about 4 months Our little was was starting using the #2 nipples when he turned 4 months old. The #2 nipple says it is for a 1+ month old however the flow seemed to be equal to a medium flow nipple with other companies and was just too fast for him at first.
We love the design of the bottles and make it very easy to hold when feeding. The numbers on the side of the bottle are also large enough to see and make it easy to determine how much formula is in the bottle.
These bottles are also very easy to use and clean. When cleaning it is a breeze compared to other bottles out on the market as they do not have all the parts like other ones do. These bottles only have the bottle itself and the nipple whereas other companies have vent tubes or removable bottoms which just means more parts to clean and keep track of.
The formula dispenser is also a great addition to the set. This makes it very easy to add formula to the dispenser and put in the diaper bag for on the go feedings as it is already measured out.
The pacifier that comes with this set is the same pacifier that our hospital used so it very useful for our son.
We were not a fan of the bottle brush in the set however. The brush only has bristles on one side and the bottom compared to other brushes that have bristles all the way around. We found that this makes it more difficult to clean the bottles as quickly.
Thank you weeSpring Parent Panel for sending us these bottles to try.

Gift Set Trial
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received a newborn starter package of Avent bottles from WeeSpring Parent Panel. The box came very quickly (like 2 days after I got the email), and in very good condition.
This set included what was pictured. A total of 5 bottles with nipples and lids. Three of the nipples are size flow 1 and two of them are size flow 2. A bottle brush, pacifier, and storage container for formula on the go.
First, I was a little nervous because I have been using the another brand of bottles to help reduce bubbles and possible colic. My daughter doesn't have it, but my son did and I would not wish that on my worse enemy. ha ha.
The bottles are bigger than "normal" bottles, which took a minute to get use to, but not a huge deal. I think they were correct in saying it mimics the feel of a breast. My LO (little one) took to it a bit quicker than she did when you put the other bottle with the smaller nipple in front of her. which was good because when she is hungry, she is very cranky!!
There is a secret, I found, to how the nipple works with the top to help relieve air intake. There is a small notch on the lid and a small bump on the nipple that have to line up or it will make the nipple leak from the lid when you feed your LO. I probably should have read the actual instructions first. Whoops. Oh well. Not a big deal. I, personally, like these bottle better than the other ones I use. I think they make LO less gassy and less reflux-y.
The brush is a VERY sturdy brush. Nice thick bristles, hard plastic handle. Could double as a weapon if needed. I do not recommend that though. The bristles are very sturdy and will not work on a slim bottle. I tried, it failed. It is however perfect for these wide neck bottles. Go figure, right?
The travel storage container was AWESOME!!! It comes with a divider to separate three feedings. Which is awesome if you are going to be out and about for a while, or at a sitters. The top spins around to each of the openings so you can pour it directly into the bottle when needed. My MIL (mother in law) loved it and it made it easier on me to when she watches her while I work (gasp, yes I work).
On to the pacifier. I sadly cannot say too much about it. My LO is apparently very picky in that department and only likes another pacifier. I think they were just a little long to go into her mouth when she first born. Seemed like they kind of hit the back her mouth. On the flip side, she enjoyed it when I stuck my finger in it.
I would recommend these to anyone really. They were awesome awesome awesome and I am so excited to use them!

Great bottle set for new moms!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received this bottle set for being part of the weeSpring parent panel. I was in the process of transitioning my breastfed baby from being exclusively breastfed to having some bottles. The Philips Avent bottles worked great for this. The base of the nipple is very soft and flexible, as well as a ergonomically correct tip, which made it easy for my baby to latch. The wide neck makes the bottle easy to clean, and the brush included in the set is the perfect amount of flexible to get all the spaces in the bottle. I also appreciate that the bottle has fewer parts than some of the others on the market and it is easy to hold for both me and baby. The formula dispenser can be used for snacks for those who aren't using formula, so it is useful for all moms, not just those using formula. The Soothie pacifier worked well for us, too. It was easy for baby to keep in his mouth and didn't cause any issues with "nipple confusion". I would give this to any new mom looking for a one-stop-shop for bottles and accessories.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] It was about 4 weeks before I had to return to work and I still hadn't purchased a set of bottles. I was given the opportunity to test out the Philips Avent gift set, thanks to the weespring parent panel, and I couldn't be happier with the whole set.
The bottle brush is such a sleek, durable design and the bristles are stiff enough to scrub away any dried milk but also pliable in order to get into the hard to reach places. The design of the bottles makes it easy to grab for adults and even the little ones who are ready to attempt it on their own, like mine. I also received the soothie pacifier, which I already had one but a backup is never a bad idea, my little one took to it right away and even now that teething has started he loves to chew on the outer edge.

Great set, too fast for my babe
I tried this set for my two month old and I really liked the design and shape of the bottles for him. I felt that (when he was a little older) he would be able to hold the bottle well on his own because they’re shaped to be held more easily. The nipple shape does seem to resemble a real nipple more so than other bottle I’ve tried. Unfortunately we tried both the small bottle and the larger bottle and both times the flow was too fast and my son coughed and choked and took in a lot of air. To be fair he was already accustomed to our leftover bottles from my first son so maybe he is just used to sucking harder. I’ll definitely hang onto these and give them a try with my next baby though!
I would still purchase this set, especially for a shower gift because they are nice quality bottles and the accessories are really useful, I’d just recommend having your little babe try this type before a slower flow bottle.
Thanks to the weeSpring Parent Panel for providing me with this gift set.

This product is a great set if your baby likes the bottles
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was given this gift set to try as part of the weeSpring Parent Panel. I really wanted to love this gift set but unfortunately my son had other plans. There were pros and cons:
Pros- my little one loves the Soothie pacifiers. We have tried multiple brands and this is the only brand that he will gladly take and actually suck on it for awhile. Another pro is the formula dispenser. Since I don’t produce enough, we supplement with formula so my son gets about 3-4 bottles of formula a day. I love the compact formula dispenser because it’s much easier to open compared to other brands that I’ve tried.
And now for the cons:
I am not a fan of the bottle brush. It is way to stiff and not flexible at all. I like round brushes to clean bottles and nipples. I felt like I was doing way too much work to spin around the brush in the bottles. The worst part about this giftset is that my son hates the bottles. Every time he would try to eat from the bottle, I could hear air filling his stomach like he wasn’t swallowing correctly. At first I thought maybe he was having difficulties because we didn’t warm it up so then I tried warming it up with the warmer and we got the same results, air filled tummy and crying. I do like the build of the bottles and the nipples. They are both nice and small and compact and I know they are supposed to resemble a mother’s breast and nipple but my baby’s latch was not good. He has a small tongue tie and doesn’t latch to my breast and I’m thinking he doesn’t take most bottles and most pacifiers because of this. The bottle warmers design is high tech and cool looking but I just don’t know why anyone would need more than one warming setting, but to each it’s own. I noticed that it warmed milk enough on the highest heat when the milk was in freshly pumped bags but the milk never got warm enough when in the Avent bottles. I didn’t particularly care for the way the warmer tracks the time. It blinks and the circle lights up more and more as it gets warmer. Call me crazy but I just want a timer that I can set and forget. Also, it would be nice to have a little noise indicator that the bottle is warm. Overall I would recommend this giftset and even perhaps get it for a friend for their baby shower. No one baby is the same so someone else may have better luck with the bottles.

Great Avent Bottle Set
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have three little ones, and all of them have used Avent bottles and loved them. I received this particular set for free as part of the weeSpring Parent Panel. The bottles are great and so easy to clean. I love that the bottle is wide, it makes it really comfortable to hold for feedings and easy to clean. The included bottle brush makes it easy to scrub the whole interior of the bottle and be confident that it is clean. My little one that is currently using the Avent bottles did not take to the new nipple even after several attempts; it seemed like it was too soft for him. This could be because he was used to the older nipple style, and probably wouldn't be a problem for a baby who started out with this nipple style. We initially used the 4 ounce bottles, but have transitioned to the 9 ounce bottles because my little one is taking 6-7 ounces per feeding. We have not used the formula dispenser yet because my little one is not taking formula, but the lid is really easy to get on and off, unlike some other dispensers, and I imagine we will use this to transport cereal once solids are introduced. This set also included a soothie pacifier. My little one wouldn't take the soothie pacifier, or any other pacifier, despite many attempts - he seemed to only be interested in mama as his pacifier. This set would make a great baby shower gift; if I was registering, I would definitely include it on my registry and I would purchase it for any expectant mama. The only reason for a four star review instead of five stars was because my little one did not like the nipple, and we ultimately purchased more of the older style nipple.

Our little one just turned five months old and breast feeds as well as takes bottles. I like that this set has both 4oz and 9oz bottles, since soon enough he'll need the large bottles. He took the bottles/nipples just fine. All of the pieces are easy to clean and we use the brush that's in the set daily. The formula dispenser is nice so you can have pre-measured amounts ready to go in baby's diaper bag when we're traveling, which we do often. This would be a good set to gift or add to a registry since it comes with accessories that you will actually use and like. We've used every part of it (just waiting to use the 9oz bottles since he doesn't take that large of amounts just yet.)

Giftset that has it all
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Let me first say, this giftset is awesome. When I received the set from the weeSpring Parent Panel I was impressed. The packaging displays a lot of great must-haves compactly making it both a perfect gift that is easy to give to an expecting family or friend.
The bottles come in 2 sizes but the nipples and caps are interchangeable. Each bottle has only 4 parts and is super easy to clean. The included bottle brush is amazing and I use it on my other baby products because it’s so simple. I love how snuggly the cap fits on the bottle eliminating spills and leaks in my bag. I was also impressed with the detail and thought that went into the nipple design to work for most babies. It also came with a green Soothie pacifier for 0-3mo which great to have since hey are typically the pacifiers you receive in the hospital. I did not use the formula dispenser since my baby is breastfed so I passed it on to my formula using neighbor who said that it was easy to use and she liked that it emptied all the powder easily compared to other dispensers. I would definitely gift this or purchase for myself.

Great Gift Set
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This bottle set is perfect as a baby shower gift! I love how soft the bottle brush is and my baby took well to the bottles and nipples. I supplement with formula so I go between breast and bottle frequently. My only wish is that the smaller bottles went to 5 oz instead of 4. The formula dispenser is the first one I’ve ever used and it works very well. My baby didn’t care for the soothee paci too much. This product works great
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My maternity leave was rapidly approaching an end and I knew I had to get my little guy used to bottles before I went back to work. As I introduced the bottle to my little one I quickly realized that a cold bottle just wouldn’t do for this picky eater. I knew I didn’t have time to wait to warm the bottle “the old-fashioned way” in a pan of water. I found the Phillips Avent Gift Set and was pleased with the contents. The gift set included: 9oz bottle 2pk, 4oz bottle 3pk, Formula Dispenser, Soothie pacifier, Bottle Brush and the bottle warmer. The bottle warmer works quickly and well, for both Avent bottles and other brands. The bottle warmer takes about 5 minutes to get the contents warm, not hot. I like how the warmer gets the contents warm but keeps the bottle cool to the touch. My little guy is much happier with his warm bottle now! The gift set includes 6 different bottles, which I was hesitant to try at first. My little one was a breast-fed baby and I had heard that certain bottles were best for breast fed babies and the Avent bottle was not one of the “recommended” brands. One day all the other bottles were dirty so I pulled out the Avent bottle and I am glad I did. They have quickly become the preferred bottle in our house and the baby has had no problem switching back and forth between breast and bottle. One of the things I really like about the Avent bottles is that my baby is able to hold them himself as he is learning how to give himself a bottle. The bottles have held up well to the dishwasher. The bottle brush is great at getting out the fat residue from breast milk and has come in really handy when cleaning, it is a product I didn’t know I needed when I got it! The gift set also includes a formula dispenser which is great for keeping formula in the diaper bag, and a pacifier. Thank you to weeSpring Parent Panel for sending me this gift to try and review. I would highly recommend this to any mama-to-be for her registry and plan to give it as a baby shower gift to friends in the future.

Great starter set
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This set from Avent is a great all inclusive set without being over the top. My baby girl took to the Avent Natural bottles quickly, thanks to a number of newborn friendly features. She was predominately breastfed before trying these bottle as we were preparing for me to go back to work. First, the wide top with shorter nipple seems to mimic the breast. The soft texture of the end of the nipple is more skin like. She also seemed to like that the bottles themselves were shorter and fatter - easier for her to hold on and "feed herself." Using these bottle regularly I will say you have to be sure to tighten them correctly as they leak if they are not tight enough and the whole top can pop off if you over-tighten. That said they are our favorite bottle we have tried.
The pieces of the bottle come apart and go together quickly, which is especially nice when cleaning. The bottle brush fits well into the bottles and creates a nice lather, although the bristles are kind of stiff and can flick suds everywhere. The variety of bottle sizes and nipple flows made it easy to keep using the bottles when it was time to step up. The formula dispenser has three segments to easily carry more than one serving with you.
Overall, the gift set is a nice balance of needs and wants. I would definitely gift this to a new mom looking to try new bottles or who was looking to try out a new bottle with everything you could need in one set. I was happy to receive this product for review from the weeSpring Parent Panel.

The brand and bottle that I trust!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Philips is a brand that I love and trust in my house, so I was absolutely thrilled to receive this Philips Newborn Starter Set to try in exchange for reviews from the weeSpring Parent Panel. The gift set came with two (2) 9oz bottles and three (3) 4oz bottles, as well as a Soothie pacifier, a bottle cleaning brush and a formula dispenser. The 4oz bottles come with size 1 nipples for baby's first flow needs, and the 9oz comes with size 2 for baby to grow with. I love that I will not have to run out and get the next size when I need it, the kit really sets mom and baby up well. My baby has struggled to breastfeed and I have had to supplement him with pumped milk for several months now. I trust this brand because Avent bottles have a natural shaped nipple and they are designed to prevent gas! My son has never again had an issue with gas after using these bottles, something that bothered him with other brands. Philips recently updated their nipple for the Avent bottles, and while they were great before, I really love them now. They are more soft and feel even closer to the real deal, which prevents nipple confusion and gives baby a better bottle experience. The nipples on these bottles to not suck in or collapse as some other brands do. I like the design of the bottle as well, the wide mouth make it easy to fill, simple to clean, and it fits well in your hand when feeding baby. I am a fan of the Soothie pacifier because it is soft, gummy and durable. Because it does not have any hard plastic parts, I like to stick it in the fridge when baby is teething, it makes a nice cool treat for his sore gums. Shout out to the amazing bottle brush this kit came with! I have used several kinds before, but this one is a new must have for me! The shape of the brush makes cleaning bottles and pump parts a fast, easy job, and if the brush needs a clean I just pop it into the top of the dishwasher. Thank you Philips for such a great tool! I would highly recommend that you go put this kit on your registry right now, it makes feeding baby so easy, and the clean up is a breeze. I plan to give this as a shower gift to my first time mom friends this year, and I think my seasoned friends will appreciate it for their next babies too. I am confident that the Philips Newborn Starter Set will give them a great set of bottles and accessories to make sure that meal time is a happy time for baby and mom!

Perfect All-In-One Set!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My daughter (now 5 months old) has been exclusively breastfed since birth but I needed to find a bottle set that I could use for those times when I needed to be away from her and leave her pumped milk. My daughter absolutely refused 7 other types of bottles before I received the Philips Avent Gift Set from weeSpring Parent Panel. It could not have come at a better time! Upon receipt, I immediately washed and sterilized the bottles and nipples. This was a simple process of warm, soapy wash followed by a 5 minute boil in water. On the first attempt, she latched on to the nipple and fumbled around with it in her mouth for about a minute. Then, she began to drink the milk! She drank 4 ounces without any issues. In fact, when I stopped her halfway through the bottle for a burp, she was not happy and wanted to continue to drink the milk. Since that time, I have used these bottles regularly for almost 2 months now. I have found that they are an excellent choice for breastfed babies. The nipple is straight but provides a slight texture which I believe allowed for an easier latch. I also love the thickness and composition of the nipples as they are soft enough to replicate an actual nipple but firm enough that they do not collapse from the pressure of a sucking baby. I also appreciate that they do not leak or pour out milk from the nipple when turned upside-down unlike several other types I have tried. There are 5 bottles total in this set-- 3 4-ounce bottles and 2 9-ounce bottles. Both of these sizes are perfect as baby transitions to larger servings and allow for less waste. Each bottle assembles with 3 parts plus a lid making for easy assembly. I have tried other bottles that have 6, yes 6 parts! I had to read the instructions each time I tried to assemble those bottles. The Phillips Avent bottles are super simple!
I also want to comment on the accessory pieces. The Philips Avent Gift Set includes a bottle brush which is perfect for cleaning the bottle parts. It perfectly fits into the neck of the bottles for fast cleaning. Also included is a Soothie pacifier with a nipple shape that replicates the bottle nipples. My daughter loves this pacifier and has used it daily since we received the gift set. I think the pacifier and bottle nipples are designed to compliment each other. I also like the fact that the pacifier is individually wrapped inside the gift set. It just makes for a nicer presentation.
(The set also includes a formula dispenser that I have not had the opportunity to use yet. However, I looked at it and it contains three separate sections for formula and a lid dispenser. This would be a perfect on-the-go accessory as it would hold three premeasured servings. It would also be great to leave with a babysitter or childcare provider with premeasured amounts of formula to make mealtime easier.)
I could not have been happier with the Philips Avent Gift Set. It is a perfect give for a new mom or for a baby shower. Thank you to weeSpring Parent Panel for sending me the Philips Avent Gift Set to try and review.

Great for Baby Registry and Baby Gift
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received the Philips Avent Gift set as part of WeeSpring Parent Panel. With my first child I always used Dr. Brown bottles. With my second child, I was determined to find another bottle that my child would like that did not require 5 pieces! When I received the Phillips Avent Bottle set, I decided to try them with my 3 month old daughter. My daughter instantly took a liking to the bottle. Previously we had used Dr. Brown bottles because she had a lot of gas and acid reflux. I noticed an improvement with the Avent Bottles. She spit up less and drank the bottle quicker. The gift set came with an easy to use bottle warmer and bottle brush which we use every day. The bottle warmer is quick and easy to use to heat up bottles. The set also included a soothie pacifier that we use on a daily basis and have now bought more of. The formula dispenser is great for on the go, or to keep in your diaper bag just in case. The only con I have for this product is that the bottles do not have a top option other that the nipple. When I am making a formula bottle on the go, I would like a solid top to mix the bottle and then I would put the nipple on. I searched online to see if I could purchase tops that were not included in the gift set, but I could not find any.
New moms: this would be a great addition to your registry. A good way to have all the essentials for when the little one comes :)

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Avent Bottle gift set is a great starter kit for any new mom facing the confusion of bottle feeding for the first time. With 3 four oz bottles, your little one will be able to familiarize themselves with these bottles from day 1. I appreciated being able to test out the larger size as my son grew! The formula dispenser is super convenient for on the go feeds. I never worried about the top popping open in my purse since it snaps shut pretty tightly. The bottle brushes are perfect for cleaning the parts of these bottles, which I must add are very few! As an overtired mommy, I don't want to spend all day washing hundreds of bottle parts. When considering which bottles to give my son, minimal parts was a crucial feature when deciding!

A good, solid, easy-to-use starter kit
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] So I’m the Mom that didn’t even THINK to put bottles on her registry because she assumed that she would ONLY breastfeed during maternity leave and then her Medela breast milk storage solution would work for feeding a baby pumped milk after she went back to work (and I would magically have a freezer stockpile made before I went back to work)... ROOKIE MOM MISTAKE, Y’ALL!!! That might work for some, but that’s not how this fairy tale went down! Thanks to the weeSpring Parent Panel for providing me with this product that came just in the nick of time. As it turned out having these bottles came in handy for expressed milk AND formula when my supply went down and baby got hungrier. We introduced this bottle at about 3 weeks when I felt pretty confident that LO’s latch was established and I thought she took to this nipple pretty seamlessly.
I like having the options of 2 different sized bottles; I prefer the feel of the smaller bottles while my husband likes the convenience of having more formula in the big bottle for our hungry little girl. The caps are interchangeable and are marked for slower/faster flows... my LO is 5 months now, and we still use both caps since I haven’t seen a major difference.
Other components to the bottle set: The pacifier is nothing special and is the same type that we received at the hospital, but might come in handy. My LO went through a phase and only took to this pacifier for a good 2 weeks and then moved on. The formula dispenser was a new concept (so much of this is when you are a new parent!) but makes sense so that you can keep servings separate and don’t have to lug the whole formula container along for day trips. For instance, I usually do 2 scoops per compartment for a total of (4 oz. x 3 compartments) 12 oz. formula. PRO TIP: bring a bottle of water along to mix- if you have to buy one, it’s usually cold and my little lady does NOT dig chilled formula!
Disassembling and cleaning is pretty quick and easy because there are only 2 components (top screws on and contains the nipple and the base) and can be done with a sponge or the handy brush that comes along with it. Incidentally, the brush also works great for the Medela breast milk storage bottles if you are pumping!
Along with this system, there’s a free App you can download called uGrow by Avent that would have been great for logging feedings/diapers/naps had I thought to download it sooner... it sounds like it might be a little obsessive to do that, but in the early days when you are sleep deprived, doing logs can help you to track patterns and making sure you're staying on track with feedings, sleep schedules, etc. I think it’s a nice feature that Avent offers, regardless of whether or not you buy their product.
I would most likely recommend this product for the baby registry of any new parents that need guidance on where to start with bottles since it’s a good, solid, easy-to-work-with system that has nearly everything a baby needs to get started with bottles... I say nearly because the only addition to all of the components, I would like to see is some type of bottle drying rack included, because the bottles will take up a bit of space on your counter! I recommend one of the fold-up racks by Munchkin or the ever-popular green grass by Boon.

Essentials are practical but the other stuff...
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was lucky to be given this gift set to try as part of the weeSpring Parent Panel since it was on my list.
To clear things up, I’m an exculsively pumping (EP) mom for twin girls. They are nearly 6 months old (few days shy of 6) and are only being bottle fed. I have tried two bottles so far and stuck to one until Avent came into picture which is bottle #3 but anyway..
First, lets get to the essentials shall we?
Bottles: I’m very happy that this set includes two (4oz; slow flow nipples and 9oz: medium flow nipples) stages so if your baby is happy with it you can proceed to next stage without worrying of buying one as you’d be prepared (that’s a plus for me).
To be honest, when my girls were three months they were very keen with their Lansinoh bottle that they refused any other bottle. But now as they’ve gotten older I figured I’ll try others.
There were no problems alternating to Avent Natural bottles; if anything they actually love it! I love how when they’re nearly done you don’t hear any air peeping out while sipping the last drop of milk. A plus side is also how the bottles fit my Spectra S1 flanges perfectly well as I personally don’t use their bottles (My model is an old one).
Note that my twins are late preemies (don’t know if it’s relevant) but they’re perfectly fine with the slow flow nipple as they get a chunk finished in minutes. So I don’t think I’ll be moving to medium flow any time soon.
Verdict for bottles- I’ll be using them and their previous bottles until they decide what’s their preference. The more bottles the merrier the cleaning is for me. So far they’re content with both. I would also buy avent bottles when I gift someone with electric pump that has wide neck flanges.
Soothie pacifiers: I must admit that I used to get those before the set came to me. I have tried MULTIPLE pacifiers since month 1 and they rejected ALL except the Avent’s soothie. The set came with 0-3 months I believe and I still use the same type.
Despite their likening to it, the soothie still bounces out of their mouths from the very beginning for unknown reasons (& no the size isn’t the issue). One twin refuses anything else while the other started taking the Classic Avent pacifier as her preference.
Verdict for soothies: they were a life savior for first few months but it seems I need to get another now or change to classic for both since the bouncing problem can be hectic for me especially if they sleep independently.
Bottle brush: I’ve had better, the gap between the bristles are annoying me a little, it feels a little hectic when I clean my bottles. Granted that the curve makes it easier to reach some areas but the bristles orientation makes it impossible to some! It doesn’t cover the entire surface as I need help from other bottle brushes.
I stopped using it after a week more or less. It didn’t cut out for me.
All in all; would I gift this to an expectant mother? Yes, totally if she’s a first time mom exploring or if she has a fond history of Avent, or any really whose open to suggestion I would suggest Avent as top favorites.

Practical/useful starter kit for new parents
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] While expecting my first baby, and because I didn't know how breast feeding would go, I did a LOT of research on bottles and I gravitated towards Philips Avent mostly because of the 'anti-colic' feature in the nipple. (all the horror stories I heard about colic-y babies, that was enough for ME to give a whirl!) Turns out, there's much more to like about these bottles/nipples. I was able to compare two Avent nipples, one of which was softer and spiraled to prevent the nipple from collapsing in. I favored that one because I felt it was a more "natural" feel for my baby. Also, I recently learned that the bottles can be fitted with different lids for his growing stages!! I'm super happy Now I don't have to give the bottles away anytime soon; I just need to purchase lids to fit his stage. My baby went to formula after a few months so the 4oz bottles worked for quiet a while and then he graduated to the 9oz. The only problem with the 9oz bottles (and this is only for formula use) is that when I fill the bottle to 8oz's and put in the appropriate amount of formula, it barely fits. I have to tap the bottle down to get the formula to disolve before putting the last scoop in - so I honestly don't know that I could get 9oz's of formula in without making a big mess. However, my son is 5mos now and we'll be starting solids in about a month so I'm not sure it will even be an issue. As for the formula dispenser, I actually didn't end up using it because when we went out, we would just put the formula directly in the bottle and filled it with water when we needed it. Who's to say it can't be used as a snack holder when he gets older though?! The bottle brush was fantastic. I initially had a round bottle brush and it made the BIGGEST messes when pulling it out of the bottle - I had to wrap my hand around the whole brush while removing it from the bottle just so it wouldn't spray soap and mess 2 feet in every direction! The Avent brush was so much better - the angled bristles don't create that spray mess, plus it has a spiraled design at the other end that allows for cleaning the inside of the nipple. I've also put it in my dishwasher to sterilize and I haven't ruined it yet. Ha! I only gave it 4 stars because I wasn't able to properly use all of the items in the set. Thank you so much, weeSpring Parent Panel, for providing me with this product!

Baby transitioned with ease
We planned to exclusively breastfeed for as long as possible when we had our little boy and so we only registered for products we thought we would need for that journey and never put much thought into bottles so when supply issues made it impossible for me to breastfeed anymore Philips came to the rescue our baby latched on easily and transitioned to formula well with the help from these bottles they are easy to clean and put together but also help limit any issues with gas. We also hadn’t put much thought into how we were going to transport formula while out and about and the formula dispenser is super easy to use, easy to clean and a necessity for days out. We also LOVE the pacifiers they are the absolute only ones my babe will take and we have them in every room and bag so they are always handy. I received this product from to WeeSpring parent panel for free in exchange for my honest review but overall I would highly recommend this gift set to formula feeding mothers as well as breastfeeding mothers who want an option of using bottles with ease and without nipple confusion.

This set is a fabulous start for new parents
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received the Philips Avent gift set free as part of the weeSpring Parent Panel. I absolutely love it! I have tried other bottles before but these bottles surprised me. My baby took to them right away and they were easy to use, easy to heat in the bottle warmer, and easy to clean. These bottles didn't have any issues with leaking. In the future I would definitely give this gift set to new parents! The pacifiers aren't my baby's favorite pacifiers but they were really nice for calming her before she was able to easily keep a pacifier in her mouth. The formula dispenser also works great as a simple storage cup for baby food and baby cereal. The bottle brush does exactly what it was intended to do and is pretty easy to keep clean and just spray out. All in all this is a great set and I would highly recommend it to any new parent!

Great set for a newborn
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received this gift set from the weeSpring Parent Panel. The 4oz bottles are the only bottles I have used so far out of this set since my little one is only 5 months old. She likes drinking from these bottles and I think the nipple simulates a breast nipple very well. The bottle brush is amazing and I have already bought a couple more to have at work, etc. It really gets into the crevices of all the pump supplies. The pacifier is the only type I have used so far and my baby takes to it very well. I have only used the formula dispenser for pacifier storage when we are out and about since we haven't had to use formula yet.

Hello! Yes, you can. However, you might need to step-up the nipple flow as the flow rate included in the set is too slow. Furthermore, the soothie pacifier is for 0-3M.
