So many people are surprised when they pick up the bottle, thinking it's plastic. I love the benefit of having glass--that is healthier because it is getting cleaned well in the dishwasher and environmentally friendly. Our other plastic bottles have discolored over time and gotten dingy. My only drawback that keeps this from 5 star is that the printed lines have worn off over time because we wash out bottles on sterilize in the dishwasher. I made the investment into switching and buying several glass bottles, only to find out that the lids don't screw on properly and I have spilt milk all over my baby. It's very frustrating when your baby is crying and you're trying to mess around with the lid to try and get it on property so that that bottle doesn't leak creating a disaster. Absolutely horrible design. There are not many glass by options available and I assumed these would be great, but they leak through the cap spilling BM or formula all over you or your baby. I bought another box thinking I just got a lemon the first time but no, it seemed to be a consistent issue. When I had my 3rd baby I tried these bottles again (bc of lack of options) thinking they would have resolved the issue, unfortunately no they still leak! I exclusively pump as our daughter will not latch. Writing this review at 2:48am, just lost 6oz of breast milk due to ANOTHER leaking cap. Not only did I lose an entire feeding of breast milk, my baby is soaked and screaming and had to be totally changed and have a sponge bath to make sure she wasn&rsquo;t sticky anymore, I had to change and still completely reward another bottle of milk that was frozen which added another 20 minutes to my night. I bought a glass bottle to try and mitigate that. This product is great, very durable and the design makes it easy to hold when feeding your baby. It's a lot heavier than the plastic bottle but I think it's worth it. I might change out the plastic bottles for this glass one. We have had so much trouble with these bottles! The rings leak all the time, on all 7 glass Avent bottles we own. One bottle already has a crack going all the way around the inside of the bottle. The bottles have never been dropped, just reheated. We fill the bottles with 3.5-4 oz of breast milk and store in the fridge until it&rsquo;s time to reheat. These bottles should be able to handle being reheated.
