Good Gift Set, Okay Bottles
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] When I opened the box from WeeSpring Baby I was excited to see that they had sent me the Philips Avent Newborn Starter Gift Set to test. It includes 5 oz bottles with level 1 nipples, 9 oz bottles with level 2 nipples, a pacifier, a formula dispenser, a bottle brush, a sippy cup nipple and handles.
Finding a bottle that both the baby and the parents like can start to feel impossible. Especially if your baby is breastfed or has any feeding issues. I have two main things I look for in bottles; ease of cleaning and no leaks. I like bottles with fewer pieces and a lid that prevents leaks. So I was apprehensive about trying a bottle with a vent but this set surprised me.
First of all I was impressed by the overall design of these bottles. As a mom to three under three I don't have the patience for baby items with unnecessary parts to wash and keep track of. These anti colic bottles have a vent but they only have one more part than your traditional bottle because the vent is all one piece. Even better they can be used without the vent as well. Although I did find that my little guy got gassier without it. However I could hear him taking in some air both with and without the vent towards the end of the bottle. I will say that it did work for upright feeding although holding the bottle completely horizontal didn't work. We did have to tilt it a bit.
Usually I avoid bottles with vents. I don't enjoy scrubbing tiny little pieces then carefully drying them to avoid mold and mildew. But I'm actually very happy with this vent design. First of all it just looks cutting edge. It's comprised of teal colored hard plastic and a soft clear silicone. Secondly it doesn't seem to have any areas for mold growth.
I was pretty doubtful of the company's claims that it was going to be easy to wash and that I wouldn't need any special tools. But I dove in anyway, armed only with the included bottle brush. To my surprise I was able to clean the entire bottle with ease including the nipple, ring, and the vent which took about two seconds to wash and I left it to air dry with the other pieces. Just to be sure I tried cleaning everything with the bottle brush I already owned and I found that while I didn't like it as much as the one Avent provided it still did the trick.
I did have a few complaints with the bottles. The first being that the nipples are very fast flow. My son is six months old and breastfed but he takes bottles well and doesn't tend to have any problem going back and forth. However the size 1 nipple (their slowest flow was a bit fast for him). When held upside down milk steadily drips out, and while eating extra milk would spill out of his mouth. Bearing this in mind we tried the size two nipples to find them understandably twice as fast. My son had to stop to take breaks and even with those, he still finished an oz in minutes. For a breastfed baby the nipple flow is fast, and I would like it if they had a slower flow option.
My second complaint is honestly a big one. The dreaded leaking. I had carefully pumped a little over 2 ozs then put the bottle on the bed with the cap on. About 15 minutes later when I picked up the bottle I found a little less than an oz in the bottle and the remaining milk leaked all over my bed. Also when unscrewing the lid milk would often spill out and there were some issues with milk or water leaking into the cap then out. However this wasn't a consistent problem.
The sippy cup is also a bit fast flow (at least for my breast fed baby), but he took to the soft spout right away. He seemed a bit confused by the handles but since they fit into the side bottle pockets of my diaper bag I like them. You can also use the separate vent with the sippy cup although I don't think you're really supposed to. It is nice to be able to use the same base pieces. However it didn't fully pass what I like to call the "throw test". When thrown on the floor some water splashed up which isn't that bad but the vent on the nipple wouldn't work anymore causing water to leak copiously. I find that in our house sippy cups need to be made with near military grade materials if they are to last more than a few days. This sippy cup essentially broke after two throws. Which would be a problem for me.
However I don't have any complaints with the bottle brush, pacifier, or formula dispenser. The bottle brush worked very well, even reaching into the tip of the nipple without needing a special attachment. My son who has only taken to a couple brands of pacifiers and hasn't been interested in them recently instantly liked this one. I like the little cover for the nipple that helps keep it clean, as well as the way it doesn't matter which side you face up because this allows my son to be able to replace it himself.
The formula dispenser is a pleasant gray color and felt well made. The lid snaps on and off with a piece that can be opened to dispense formula. Inside there is a removable insert that creates three sections which I liked because this allows for more customization and more thorough cleaning. We don't use formula so we filled ours with heart shaped "puffs". The puffs could be dispensed through the top. and the container fit easily into my diaper bag making it a good choice for snacks on the go.
Overall I think this is a good starter set that would make a good registry item and I love the extras that are included, but personally I'm not happy enough with the bottles to switch over to them.

Easy to use, worked well for my baby
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was given this product to try as part of the weeSpring Parent Panel. I really love the line of Philips Avent bottles. The two sizes are perfect as my baby has grown to go from the small bottles up to the larger, and now we are utilizing the small bottles again as her formula intake has decreased. Overall I am so happy with the nipples on these bottles as I have never had much of any spit-up issues with my daughter and I think that has a lot to do with keeping the air out of the bottles. The cleaning brush that comes with the set is very easy to use and goes with the shape of the bottles making washing up simple and quick. Overall I think this set is a great way to get enough supplies to try out new bottles so I think it would be a good purchase for new parents or a great gift for expecting parents.

Breastfeeding Mommy and the bottle struggle is REAL
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] As a FTM and a breastfeeding mother, I dreaded returning back to work, especially due to the fact that my breastfed baby refused practically every bottle I tried. I tried at least 5+ different brands of bottles/ nipples and my baby refused every one and tolerated only one when I returned to work after he was almost 5 months old. When we received the Philips Avent Gift Set to try as part of the weeSpring Parent Panel it was a Godsend! The bottle he tolerated before was a struggle as he would only drink an ounce or two at a time and now with the Philips Avent Anti Colic bottles he can drink an entire bottle at feedings! The nipple has a wider base which he prefers. Not only are they a breeze to clean and assemble, he is spitting up less and a lot less gassy! Less gas equals a happy baby, which means a happy mommy! It also comes with the training handles for him to learn how to hold his bottle himself and he's becoming a pro! Although he doesn't use formula, the formula dispenser was still useful for his little puff snacks! Just fill it up and toss in the diaper bag! I thought the pacifier would be the only item that wouldn't get any use as he has also refused every one we have tried, it was actually the perfect size for him to hold while he was teething to smooth his sore gums! This gift set is the perfect gift for any expectant mothers! This is now my number one recommendation for any breastfeeding mothers! Thank you again weeSpring Parent Panel for providing me with this product, it is now my go to baby shower gift!

What a great set!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] These are great bottles, with a nice wide opening so it's easy to dump powder formula in them. My baby easily drinks from the nipples as well, no issues there. My favorite product in this gift set is the travel formula holder. It has been a total game-changer for us and enables us to prepare formula bottles on the go so that we don't need to use ice packs or coolers. Overall this is a perfect gift set between the bottles and the formula holder. I use these products every day and have no complaints! Thanks to the weeSpring Parent Panel for providing me with this product.

Great Starter Set
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Philips Avent Gift Set is an excellent starter set. My son has been breastfed since he was born and after returning to work a few months ago, he is being bottle fed pumped breast milk. He was previously using the Avent Natural bottles with great success. I was eager to try the AirFree vent bottles, however, as he has suffered from some gas since birth. The bottles in this gift set are easy to assemble, and dissemble for cleaning and sterilizing. My son transitioned to them without any issues, which is an automatic plus in this mommy's book. I couldn't tell a difference in his gassiness with the vent, but still felt the bottles were excellent. The only drawback to these bottles is that they are a different shape than the Avent Natural bottles and do not fit on my Avent Comfort pump. I would have preferred to use the same bottles for pumping and feeding. My favorite thing in the kit is the trainer cup. My son is now 8 months and is learning how to use a sippy cup with his meals. The handles on this cup are perfect for his little hands, and the bottle is very light, making it easy for him to tilt. I absolutely love that he can use the regular bottle nipple or the spout provided. Its the perfect transition cup and much preferred over others we have tried. My least favorite item in the gift set was the bottle brush. After several tries, I really didn't feel like I was able to properly clean the nipples with it. The brush is very firm and is large at the top, making it difficult to get into the nipple all the way. I think something more flexible would work better for this. The included formula dispenser wasn't necessarily something we needed, as my son does not take formula. However, I found that it is an excellent snack dispenser and keep it in the diaper bag filled with my son's favorites for when we are on the go. Finally, the pacifier in the kit was not used, despite our trying. My son uses the Avent Soothie pacifiers and refuses to use anything else. I do like that it has a cover included...what a smart idea! I would absolutely buy this set as a baby shower gift and would definitely recommend it to expectant moms and dads. I felt that it was incredibly comprehensive and a good price for what is included. Thank you weeSpring Parent Panel for sending me this set to try and review.

Great Variety & Spectra Compatible
I have three kids and have used Avent bottles (and even the pump!) in the past and been generally satisfied with them, but they've really upped their game since I last purchased the product. Now the anti-colic vents are a completely different shape from the old collar version. They not only vent better, which means baby burps and spits up less than even when she's on the breast, but also the bottles can still be used without them. If we ever forgot the vent collar in the old style, it would leak all over the place. No more!
I appreciate that this set has both sizes of bottles. I sometimes use the larger bottles for pumping and storage and the smaller for feeding, but we will be able to use the larger ones for feeds as baby's nutrition needs change. Moreover, it allows the baby to transition to self feeding with the sippy cup-style handles and sippy-style nipple, which is awesome for my little one, whose super determined to self feed.
But, the biggest game changer for me, and why I would recommend (for on the registry or otherwise) this set to any nursing/pumping mama, is that these bottles connect directly to my S2 breast pump! I had no idea that was the case when I received these, and now that I know, I would gift it to anyone who thinks they'll be pumping and wants a seamlessly compatible feeding and storage solution.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] First off - the packaging was in great shape! Inside was an information packet listing all of the items inside and their purpose. I especially loved the pacifier with the cover on it to keep it clean! Also, the bottles really did seem to help my baby not be so gassy after eating. The bottle brush is the best one I’ve used, by far! It is strong yet small enough to fit into all bottles. I was extremely pleased to see how wel it cleaned out the bottles! Overall, this was a great gift set that is perfect for colicky/gassy babies but also for older babies who have passed the colic stage. I would definitely buy this for a baby shower gift!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This gift set comes with 5 bottles, a pacifier, a sippy lid and.. best of all... a bottle brush that is amazing for washing not only these bottles but many other hard-to-wash items! The handles for the smaller bottles are really excellent for my baby to grip, and made it easier to get the hang of bottle drinking (transitioning from breastmilk). This is a really helpful set even though I never used formula, the anti-colic tops made it easier for my son to drink water and not swallow too much gas. Great Starter Set
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received this Avent bottle gift set to review from the weeSpring Parent Panel. I had been using another brand of anti-colic bottles for my 4 month old and was excited to try these. The bottles are a great size and shape, I like the wide mouth. The anti-colic insert is one piece, which I like because it is only one additional part to clean instead of the bottles I have been using which had two additional parts. I also liked that you can use the bottles without the anti-colic piece. If you forgot to put it in when your baby is crying, oh well, it’s not the end of the world and won’t leak due to forgetting that piece like my other bottles do. These Avent bottles do not leak, I put cold breast milk from the fridge in and then warm in a hot water bath and have not experienced leakage. The parts are all easy to clean. My son has had reflux and gas since about 2 months old. These bottles did help in reducing the amount of reflux and gas he experienced. It was not painful for him to drink and he could easily fall to sleep while drinking, which tells me he is comfortable while drinking from them. The one thing I was worried about was having to keep the bottle in the correct position to keep the vent upright so it can do it’s job. That is the one thing you have to make sure to do when feeding, but it’s really not that big of a deal, just glance down, make sure the vent is the right way and you’re set. Overall, I would buy the Avent Anti-Colic for a baby shower gift to a new mom or if you are in the market for botttles to help with colic, gas or reflux. They are easy to clean, don’t leak, have less parts than other brands and babies like them!

Great bottle set!!!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] As a first time mom I had tried many bottle brands to find the perfect one. I thought I had found my favorite until I received the Avent anti colic bottle set from weeSpring Parent Panel. I immediately opened the bottle set, and sanitized it so I could get right to using it. I was impressed with the easy assembling and dissembling for cleaning and sanitizing. There aren’t many pieces and it doesn’t take too long if you’re in a hurry because of a crying, hungry baby. I really like that this set included both 4oz and 9oz sizes. It is the perfect set to get started as it includes the bottles, a formula dispenser, a pacifier and a brush that cleans all the hard to reach places. All of the products can be sanitized easily from the start. The formula dispenser I found especially nice because it had separate parts that kept the formula sealed and fresh. The compartments make it easy to dispense into either a small bottle or a large bottle.
The thing that held me back at first was the size of the bottles. I had gotten used to skinnier bottle types and was hesitant at first. However the larger size is easy for my son to transition to holding it himself. Which brings me to my favorite part about this set. It comes with a handle and a sippy cup spout that transforms the bottle that you already have into an easy to hold sippy cup. I was very impressed with the ease of putting the items together and the convenience of using what I already have instead of having to buy a whole new cup. The set also came with size 1 and 2 nipples. My son didn’t care for the pacifier that came with it but that’s normal for babies being especially picky about their pacifiers. I like the quality and appearance of the pacifier and it was easy to clean. If I needed a gift for a new mom I would definitely consider this option. I love the quality and the design especially because of the ease of use and cleaning. The set contains everything you would need to get started and is great for formula or breastfed infants. I feel as a breastfeeding mama that it’s hard to find bottles my son will use. These were baby approved and that is something that is not easy to do. Thank you weeSpring for sending me this awesome set to review!! We love these bottles!!!

I received this set from the weeSpring Parent Panel and gave it a test with my 6 month old. I had previously used Avent bottles without the vents and was not happy. The Avent vented bottles were very nice! My baby liked them and the vent seemed to work well. It is especially nice that the vent was one piece and relatively small. I did have a little trouble removing it after feeding but overall it was great! I loved how the set included a formula dispenser, which is a much needed add on for formula babies, otherwise it’s still useful for snacks later on for breast fed babies. I also love the removable sippy cup transition handles. Very clever and useful design! The bottle brush is nice and sturdy and it’s nice to have a cap included for the pacifier, though I don’t know if it would end up lost in the long term. Overall a very nice set and I am happy to have had the opportunity to test it out. Had I received the vented Avent bottles sooner I would have been using them all along!

A must-have set for newborns.
I love this gift set! I received it at no charge from weeSpring Parent Panel in exchange for my honest review. I previously received the bottles and hated them because they leaked, but I haven't had that problem with the bottles I received in this set. My exclusively breastfed baby took these bottles with absolutely no problems. She tends to be a gassy, spitty baby, but I don't notice any excessive gas after she uses these bottles. I also like that they have wide necks in case we switch to formula in the future. I love this bottle brush. I've actually used it before I got this set and it's my favorite brush to use for all of my kid's eating gear. Most bottle brushes spray water and soap everywhere, but I don't have that problem with this one. And, and this is totally not important, but I love the way it looks on my sink. It doesn't immediately scream "baby bottle brush!" :)
Unfortunately, my baby isn't a huge fan of the Soothie pacifier (she will only take Mam pacifiers), but I loved Soothie's with my first child. They stayed in her mouth and I liked being able to put my pinky in the hole if she was teething and needed something to bite down on.
My only complaint about this set is that it was hard for me to figure out which nipple was which. the numbers are on the side of the nipple, but because of the design, the numbers blend in. Nevertheless, I would definitely register for this set and/or give it as a gift. It includes everything you need for your newborn.

Wish i had tried these sooner
Thanks to the weeSpring Parent Panel I got to try this product, and I wish I had done it a long time ago. As a mom of two, I was really hoping to use the same bottles—the ones that came with my breast pump--for my second. My first (now 3) didn’t have reflux or spit-up issues like my second, and I was reluctant to try other bottles due to horror stories about all the pieces to clean, keep track of and assemble. But for the weeSpring Parent Panel I gave these bottles a try. WAY easier to clean than I imagined. Assembling was a breeze, too; and thanks to the included bottle washing wand, clean-up was also a snap. Another perk: my toddler loved the Avent sippy cups when transitioning from bottles, and these came with a handle and nipple so the bottles can easily make that transition!
I don’t use formula and was a little disappointed that the set came with a dispenser, but it’s come in handy for holding snacks for my big kid.
This is a great product, and it would be a great gift for little ones---or yourself. ;) I loved them; my little one loved them; my husband doesn't mind cleaning them. I really wish I had gotten these sooner!

Good gift set
I have a five month old daughter that I mainly exclusively breastfeed. Recently I’ve been able to leave her with other people more, so I’ve needed to try out bottles. I was delighted to receive this gift set from the weeSpring Parent Panel. I liked the variety of sizes of bottles, and the transition cup for when my baby is older. The first item I tried from the set was the pacifier. My baby girl took right to it and did not want to stop sucking. My only complaint is that when she dropped it, the clear color made it pretty hard to find.
My daughter also seemed to like the bottles. She latched right on to it and had no trouble drinking the whole bottle without having to take a lot of breaks. I didn’t notice any issues with gas, but she did spit up a lot afterwards so I’m not sure how much it affected her reflux. The bottle brush was decent. It seemed a bit bulky but it got the job done. It was a nice accessory to have in the set. Overall I would recommend this gift set and would definitely consider buying it for a baby shower gift.

Seemless bottle lids
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This set had a good mixture of bottle sizes and no1 & no2 nipples, as well as a zippy cup nipple that I think I’ll try to use later for more of a transition to sippy cup. It also has a nice and sturdy bottle brush, pacifiers and a formula mixing container. I am exclusively breastfeeding and pumping, so do not use the formula mixer. My 6 month old also doesn’t use a pacifier. The bottles have a silicon nipple, the lid that the nipple fits into, the bottle itself, and another piece that fits on the top of the bottle before the lid is put on. So there are 4 pieces beyond the lid. What I don’t like about the blue piece that goes on top of the bottle before the lid, is it’s hard to pull off without really getting my fingernails underneath it. It is a rubber or silicon like material, not hard plastic, so I wouldn’t break a nail, but was just annoying that I couldn’t pull it off without getting my nails and finger all over it and breast milk all over my fingers.
Otherwise, the bottles work fine and I didn’t have any gas or colic issues with my son. The nipple is a bit harder and a bit flat at the top more so than what he was used to in another bottle, so didn’t go for it too long before getting mad at me: simply nipple preference, but i won’t use them further because my son doesn’t prefer them.
Thank you weeSpring Parent Panel for allowing me to receive and review this product. It certainly helps when exploring baby products and especially bottles!

The only baby bottle for us!
When we first brought our daughter home from the hospital, I had every intention of exclusively breastfeeding. However, after several sleepless nights attempting to nurse a baby who would not latch, my husband and I were desperately reaching for a bottle to feed her. We grabbed and sterilized the Avent bottles and gave them a try. Our baby easily latched onto the bottle and happily slurped up her milk away, which was a beautiful sight for this very tired mama.
While my baby was happy to be getting her belly filled, these tired parents appreciated the limited amount of pieces necessary to put together the bottles - no straws or complicated vent systems like some other bottles we have seen.
We were initially concerned over the potential for increased gas due to bottle feeding. These bottles claim to reduce gas and discomfort in young babies - and let me tell you, these claims could not have been more true for us! Thanks to the vent system of these bottles, our baby has had limited gas or discomfort.
As a first time mama who knew nothing about bottles, I just "guessed" when adding the Avent Gift Set to my registry. But I seemed to have made a lucky guess, because these bottles have worked perfectly for us and I can wholeheartedly recommended them to new parents. The bottle brush and powder formula dispenser included in the Gift Set round out an already great product - the brush helps keep the bottles squeaky clean and the powder holder is perfect for throwing in a diaper bag.
Thank you Avent for saving the day for these tired parents and hangry baby! And thank you to weeSpring Parent Panel for sending me these bottles to try and review.

Perfect Starter set
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I am a first time mom and my baby is exclusively breastfeed both through bottle and nursing. I received this Philips Avent Starter set as being part of the weespring parent panel. Based from my experience, it is a good starter set that i would highly recommend to moms to be as it is a has most of the things you will be needing in terms of feeding. I love how the bottles are of both 4 and 9 ounce and how there were various nipples included to be used as your baby grow. The sippy cup handle attachment is very versatile as it can fit both bottle size giving you an option that would fit your baby’s need. The bottles are easy to hold on for a baby, it also has minimal parts that makes it easy to put together and to clean.
Since my baby was exclusively nursed during his first few months, introducing the bottle was a challenge, this bottle made it easy for my baby to transition as the nipple has the perfect softness and size. One of my worries on giving the bottle is this gas and spit up issues but with the help of the airfree vent, my son did not experience this issues.
The pacifer size is just perfect for not only newborn but infants too its easy to clean and very handy. I like the bottle brush that is included in the set as it can clean the areas that are hard to reach.
Overall, i can say that this is a set that i would be giving as a gift for moms to be as it is simple easy to use but effective bottles that will minimize feeding issues and it comes with accessories that you will need to have for feeding your baby.
Thank you weespring and philips avent!

Great registry item!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I am a first time mom. I planned on exclusively breastfeeding until I needed to go back to work and would need bottles for daycare. My son was a great breastfeeder so I was nervous that he would have trouble with bottles and that his latch wouldn’t be a good. I wanted a bottle that was going to reduce spit up and a nipple that was similar to breastfeeding.
The Philips Avent Gift Set is a great kit for a first time parent because it has everything you need to get started on your parenting journey. Creating a registry is tough, so I loved that it came with the bottles, pacifier, formula dispenser and bottle brush. It really was a one-stop-shop for my bottle needs. I would absolutely recommend this product for a new mom to put on her registry.
The challenge is the instruction manual. It was not very clear, so if you are a first time parent trying to figure out how to use the product, it could get frustrating - but it is possible to figure out. The instructions talk about the nipples but there is no guidance on when to use nipple 1, 2, 3 or 4. It also talks about nipples 3 and 4 in the manual but those items aren't in the kit so it seemed weird to have information about things that were not included. Yet there were also no instructions on the transition cup, formula dispense or the venting system. I had to look at the box to figure out which direction the vent was supposed to go in the bottle. For the bottle to be the key piece in the kit, the instructions were lacking on how to use it. As a new mom with a bunch of new instruction manuals, it would have been easier to see the instructions in one manual versus one instruction manual for each piece in the bottle set.
Once I figured out the venting, my son did really well with bottles. He had bad reflux and I feel like the bottles helped to reduce the air in his belly, taming his reflux and spit up. The formula dispenser was super helpful to plan for the day. My son loves holding onto bottles, so he absolutely LOVED the transition cup because he got to act like the big kids in his daycare. The bottle brush was easy to use. The only thing that wasn’t useful for me was the pacifier, but that is only because my son doesn’t like taking a pacifier. I am sure it is a great pacifier though and I really liked that it came with a covering case for it. That would have been nice to help keep it clean!
Again, this is a great kit, it just takes a minute to figure out if you are doing everything right.

Philips Avent Gift Set
This is a great set for anyone wanting to graduate their child on the same brand of bottles/ sippy cups as they grow. The pack provides you bottles for newborns to toddler which is great instead of running out every time you think baby is ready to graduate to the next level. I find that using this type bottle is comparable to the other anti-colic bottles that come with options, which was our original go-to when my son started with Colic. I have also found that that the shape of the bottles is more convenient then the another anti-colic bottles, which I have found difficult to use and hold and cuddle while bottle feeding as they are so long in length. The Avent anti-colic is also in one part instead of two which makes cleaning them less of a headache (and when not needed anymore the bottle is still functional - a total win). I will say that I did not like the bottle brush that was included in the set as I feel that the 360 round brush is easiest. I haven't needed to use the formula dispenser yet but used a similar one with the daughter years earlier and found it to be a nice thing to toss and go! It'd be a great gift for any new parent. Products were good quality but wasn't the right fit for my baby
The Philips Avent Gift Set (I was given this gift set to try as part of the weeSpring Parent Panel) was very stylish and loved the new style of their bottles. However, the colic attachment was very hard to get on and off. It was as though the bottle and attachment were off on the measurements. It also was hard to 100% mix the formula together. The colic attachment pressing up against the bottle wall and clumps get in the "spoon-shaped" attachment. The nipples were also not how other nipples are designed. They are much wider, which I loved because it mimics your breast, but my daughter has moved on to a nipple size 2 on other brands and the Philips size 2 nipples were too fast of a flow for her. She would have formula all over herself and bib. I didn't see a big difference in how the colic attachment "helped" with gas, burping and spit up. She still seems to have the same amount of spit up and gas from before using the bottles. Only item we haven't used yet is the sippy cup, as my daughter is only 5 months old. I can't wait to try the sippy cup, though! The pacifier, brush cleaner and formula dispenser and the most used items from this gift set. I love how easy the formula dispenser moved from each compartment and it actually keeps the formula separated, unlike other brands we have used. Each baby is different and learns what they like and don't like. I would definitely gift this for any new moms, just because it is a good way to learn if this product will work for them and their baby. It gives you everything you need for the first year.

Great Starter Gift Set
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have a four month old son who is primarily breastfed, but as a working mom and someone who lives a very active lifestyle, bottle feeding is a must in our household! They also come in handy for late night feedings so that my husband can help out :) We have tried many bottles, as my son is a super-spitter, and these have been life-changing! I have found that he gets the hiccups less, spits up less and also burps less than previous bottles that we have tried.
These bottles are easy to clean and easy to assemble, making them Daddy friendly, Grandma friendly AND babysitter friendly! I can’t express how many how-to tutorials I’ve done to ensure each baby product is properly used, and I only had to explain these bottles once :) The bottle brush is a wonderful addition to the set as well.
The gift set comes with a great assortment of must-haves to get you started on bottle-feeding your little one, whether that is breast milk bottles or formula. The two different size bottles are great for growing with baby’s feeding needs and the anti-colic feature was instrumental in reducing gas intake. The only downside that I can come up with is that I wish the set came with breast milk storage bags and/or a way to pump directly into these bottles via an adapter. The loss of milk during transfer is minimal but a very valuable loss as someone who doesn’t have a high output!
In addition, I found that as a first time mom, registering can be very overwhelming, and this set allows you to register just one item, while fulfilling multiple needs on your list-bottles, different stages of nipples (which I didn’t even know you needed!), pacifier, cleaning brush, etc
I was given this gift set to try as part of the weeSpring Parent Panel and highly recommend it to any new mom as a shower gift, to add to a registry or to go out and buy yourself to replace anything that you may have previously used!

Great shower gift
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I think this item would be a great shower “starter pack” gift especially for the mom that is still undecided if she wants to breastfeed or not. This package has items for both methods of feeding, so even if you decide to switch, you’ll have a good start on supplies. I have been exclusively breastfeeding my 6 month old son, and pumping when needed, so I have not used the formula dispenser. I’m sure once he gets a little older I will just use it as a snack container.
Everyone told me that all babies 1. Loved to be swaddled 2. Suck on pacifiers, so I guess my son is the stubborn exception. He hated both since birth, so although we’ve tried the pacifier, we’ve never “used” it per say. Although I CAN say that I liked that it had its own cover on it. Nice to just throw in the bag and not worry about it getting gross. It also came with a bottle brush which served its purpose, but after using/having other bottle brushes it isn’t my favorite. I prefer one that stands up with a suction cup…to keep it as clean as possible and prevent cross contamination to all the other gross stuff in the kitchen.
I like the Advent bottles. We’ve tried a bunch, hoping for the magical fit and he actually uses these without a fight. Not sure if it’s just him getting older or what, but my husband and I are not complaining. The bottles in the package come in two different sizes and I have used both the nipple and the sippy cup attachment. Love that! As a FTM (first time mom), I thought I would have to buy sippy cups separately, but this one is awesome because it is just a regular bottle (I never understood why everything has to be pink or blue? I like to stick with the basics) with the different attachments. Super easy to take apart, clean and put back together. The double handle attachment is amazing as well for those super independent little ones that want to do everything on their own. My son didn’t have any major issues, ie. colic or major spit up issues, so I can’t say if the attachment helped or not. It has to be facing up to work properly, but the color of it stands out enough to ensure it’s in the correct position. Although I wasn’t able to use every part of it I still think it would be a nice shower gift! I was given this product to try as part of the weeSpring Parent Panel.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We love these bottles! I received this product from the weeSpring Parent Panel, and was really excited to try them with my little one as she is exclusively bottle-fed. The first thing I noticed was that I actually prefer the profile of the bottle to our older ones - it’s a little slimmer so I’m able to fit two bottles side by side in our diaper bag pocket (where previously I could only fit one.) The second thing I noticed is how well my little one took this bottle! We’ve had issues with gas from day one so we’re always looking for remedies and some bottles seem to create a lot of bubbles that hurt her belly. Happily, we have definitely noticed a calmer tummy with these bottles!! We also use the bottle brush and formula container daily- no complaints here either! We do not use the pacifier (as our little one is very particular with her pacis) so I cannot speak to that, but overall we were very pleased with this bottle set and would definitely recommend!!

I received the Philips Avent Gift Set from the weeSpring Parent Panel in exchange for my honest review. I used the set for several weeks with my 5 month old son. I would recommend this set (which included anti-colic bottles, pacifier, sippy cup, formula dispenser, and a bottle brush) as an item for a new parent to add to a baby registry and would definitely consider buying it as a shower gift.
Pros:
I loved that the set included both 4 and 9 ounce bottles as well as two nipple sizes; good for newborns and older kiddos. I found that my son preferred these nipples when he started teething over the other brand we had been using as the Avent nipples were softer on his tender gums (he had been taking about half of his usual ounces and within a day of switching was back to normal). Although my son doesn’t have colic, I did notice with the use of the anti-colic inserts his air intake was reduced and he didn’t seem to spit up/burp as much. The inserts were easy to pop in and out and since they keep the nipple full even when the bottle isn’t fully tilted I didn’t have to remind anyone to make sure my son wasn’t taking in any air when he gave him a bottle! My son is too young to use the sippy cup, however, I liked that rather than a separate cup I just had to swap out the traditional bottle nipple for a sippy nipple as well as add the handle between the bottle and the lid. I don't use formula so the dispenser wasn’t useful at this point, however, since the insert that divides the dispenser in thirds is removable, when my son is older I can see using it for snacks.
Cons:
My son did not care for the pacifier; the nipple didn’t seem to bother him but the piece that rests against the face was thick and flat rather than curved to the mouth. I also didn’t care for the bottle brush, I didn’t feed the hard bristles cleaned quite as well as the sponge brush I normally use.
Overall the pros to this set outweighed the cons. My favorite part of the set is that it can grow with baby so even once we’re beyond the bottle stage I can use them as sippy cups and not have a ton of useless bottles left behind.
