I like that the nipple came in a case but honestly we didn't end up needing to take with us for traveling. Realistically, I wish it came with the rings that goes around the nipple. My baby did not like the nipple at first but I think it takes adjusting. The flow is faster than other nipples I have. Baby is now 8 months and luckily she knows how to hold her bottle. It is recommended for babies 3+ months. My son is coming up on 4 months in the next few days but couldn&rsquo;t seem to figure out how to drink from this nipple. Even though it does have an adjustable flow rate even the lowest setting seemed to be too fast for him. He would end up choking and getting frustrated with every meal. I personally love the concept of being able to adjust the flow of milk. She still chugged her bottle super fast but didn't get the upset tummy that would normally accompany her old brand of bottle/nipple... The nipples are for thicker liquids, and allows you to rotate to the desired flow when feeding you little one. We already had the Philips Avent Anti-colic bottles, which are required for using these nipples, and we love using them. Our baby is not on formula, but we wanted to test out the variable flow nipples to see which flow rate she preferred for her breastmilk. So even though we don&rsquo;t use a thicker liquid, it was so convenient to have three flow speeds in one nipple. Turns out, she actually likes the slowest flow rate best! The nipples are easy to clean, and easy to put in to the bottles instead of the nipples that they came with. We will continue using these nipples, and recommend them to parents who aren&rsquo;t sure which flow rate their little one will prefer. He is 5 months and he is a little greedy butt. I like them also but sometime I have to be aware of how I'm holding the bottle to make sure he isnt drinking too fast and get strangled, which has only happened twice. Another thing I like about the nipples is the fact I do not have to make the whole bigger since we give him oat cereal twice a day, and sometimes we give it to him in his bottle. He doesnt get super gassy using these nipples. I like avent products. It took them a few weeks to get the hang of drinking from a bottle and they got used to the disposable hospital nipples. Right around the time they were discharged from the NICU we were given the opportunity to try out the Avent Anti Colic nipples from the weeSpring Parent Panel. I was excited to receive these as we had used Avent bottles with my oldest child and they were the ones we were planning on getting for the twins to try as well. Both babies took right to these and they worked great for us. My daughter had experienced some issues with reflux and was spitting up a lot of her formula, but I truly believe these bottles helped her tremendously. Since switching over to these bottles and nipples full time, she seems much more comfortable after her feedings and the spit up has drastically decreased. It makes for both a happy baby and happy mom. The flow seems to be perfect for them both as we have had no issues with them getting overwhelmed during eating. These bottles and nipples are also easy to clean and take with us on the go as they do not have a million parts to worry with like some bottles on the market. The only downside to these nipples was that they are not compatible with all of the different Avent style bottles. We also had a few of the Naturals bottles and the nipples did not fit those. It would be awesome if they were a universal fit for both bottle times and could be interchanged. Luckily, these are sold at a super affordable price point, so that isn't a reason to keep us from using them. We will definitely be purchasing more of these bottles- we need lots, because twins! I absolutely love the fact that it came in a 4 pack. I breastfeed but wanted my husband to get the chance to feed our baby so it worked out great. I'm not sure of my own flow when feeding so when he gets the chance he is able to see if the slow flow is too slow or the fast flow it too fast and can adjust accordingly. And our little one isn't gassy after feedings. Of course, we still burp but it's not bad like other nipples. It was a bit of an adjustment because I breastfed a few weeks before allowing the Anti-cholic nipples (don't want nipple confusion) but we started out with slow flow to get started. I would recommend this to everyone. You start out with slow flow anyways, you might as well get the 4 pack so you don't have to buy the different sizes later. While my baby does not currently suffer from colic or gas, the nipple does not seem like it would contribute to those issues since it gives the caregiver the ability to control the flow. My baby has had milk from other nipples by Philips Avent, so she took to this one with no problem. I was really excited to try the Philips Avent Anti-colic baby bottle variable flow nipple as my baby is transitioning from level 1 to level 2 flow, and we have really liked using the Philips Avent anti colic bottles. My LO preferred the level 2 flow with the nipples, and it was nice to be able to switch to a low flow if I wanted to slow her down a bit. While I found the variable flow speed was helpful, some of our other caretakers (daycare and babysitters) found it a little confusing to use, and sometimes ended up using a faster flow than my LO could comfortably handle. Since we had already been using Philips Avent anti-colic bottles and level 1 nipples, these variable flow nipples were an easy transition and I look forward to continuing to use them! Finally, as these are advertised as helping to minimize colic and gas issues, I can't speak much to that as generally my LO&rsquo;s gas issues have mostly resolved. I do think these nipples seemed helpful versus when we didn&rsquo;t use them. I was advertised that this is a no spilling teats and only flow if sucked. Once washed, water flowed. Thought its because its being washed and its water. Tried to feed my baby, i tested if the milk will flow, flipped the bottle, it poured! I bought four! I instantly changed it back to our old teats. (2- holed). The reason why i bought new one is to avoid spilling. Her pedi wanted us to thicken her formula with cereal. We were using dr Browns but couldn't thicken it well and get a perfect flow with their nipple options. I decided to try this and I wish I would have earlier. It allows us to thicken it perfectly and it flows out wonderfully for her during feeding. It has solved all our user problems and I can't thank avent enough! I wish I would have sooner. I can make her formula thickened just right and it flows just perfectly with these nipples and she's much more comfortable feeding and after. I think these are great for babies who are at varying age levels. The milk doesn't just flow out and spill everywhere, instead it is almost tailored to how your child is using the nipple. The nipples were easily unboxed and fit perfectly without leaking. I was happy with the feel of them, thick but not bulky. My son seemed to use them with no issues. He was able to drink smoothly with no dripping. I thought the nipples also cleaned well. Sometimes I get water marks on other nipples.
