It has several different functions but my favorite is being able to set alarms and timers for her. It's very simple to use after reading the instruction sheet. The games are easy and my kiddo enjoys playing them. We do wish it had a colored screen and that there was a way to silence it so that she could wear it to school or overnight, but she can't because every time it's bumped it plays the theme song. It holds his attention for quite a good while, he likes the blue color of the watch. I was able to put the actual time of the day and an alarm on the watch. My son has been learning how to tell time recently and this watch is helping him with that better each time he plays with it. There are a few different games that my son is able to play on the watch (some math games, smaller/bigger numbers, etc). The coin battery came with it so my son was able to play with it right when he turned it on, I just had to switch it from demo play to regular play and that was easy to do. The manual/directions came with it and I was able to read through it and set it up so my son could play with it. It is just very quiet. And the screen would benefit from being back-lit. If in the dark it is hard to see.
