I love this product when I was a child and I was super excited to share this experience with my youngest, especially since we have had unseasonably warm weather here. I didn't like the water reservoir is now attached, the removeable one was better. There is no spray after you prime the pump, it just sprays a second of mist and then depressurized. I will definitely be buying more of these. They work great. You put water in from the top, then put the cap back on, pump the gun and press trigger. It shoots easily at least 20ft. I also loved that it has a small screen where the water goes into the gun area so if the kids are filling it outside or from a bucket the grass and dirt stays out of it. It was easy to get out of the package. The classic design has been updated with a top fill spot in place of the twist of canister. Pump action pressurized the tank and a trigger releases the water and starts the fun. It does require quite a bit of pumping when you 1st use it, the tank is smaller than some of the newer Super Soakers. If you&rsquo;re in a Super Soaker battle you might want to choose a different one. The gun has the classic super soaker design with a generous water tank so you don't have to continuously stop to refill. The nozzle is perfectly designed for a thin stream of water and maximum distance. The toy shot water for quite a while before needing to be refilled and the whole design was beautifully balanced to make using it easy and comfortable. Once I had a chance to check it out, I handed it off to my 6-year old who then took a whirl. The toy took a serious beating at his rambunctious hands, but continued to pump out the fun. A solid Super Soaker such as this one is truly a summertime staple that all kids should get to experience at least once. As a mom of multiple kids, including toddlers, I also like that there were no small parts that could have become dangerous, so my 6-year old was able to play with his baby brothers without worry. All around a fantastic toy. Oh, and kudos to choosing super bright colors and a design that can't be mistaken as a real weapon from a distance. I think given the way the world is right now that the design was really smart. Keep the fun, minimize the potential danger.
