It holds water while filling but will leak when you go to use it. So Definitely recommend it being filled outside. My son absolutely loves it tho to him there is no default. Would I recommend it absolutely just keep in mind that it must be filled outside !! Other then that get ready for hours of fun on a hot summer day!</span>
