I actually really like the Y shape nipple for flow control. I also love that it&rsquo;s less parts and easier to clean than my other anti colic bottles I&rsquo;ve used. So far they&rsquo;ve held up great and my baby hasn&rsquo;t had any stomach or gas issues..and he has a very sensitive stomach! The opinions here are 100% my own and honest. The bottle is an innovative design meant to reduce colic (gas or air in baby). It is different than other bottles I've used as its forward thinking of having less parts to wash. It even came with a cleaning brush. While I can appreciate less dishes (I've seen bottles with up to 6 parts, this had 4) I do think the time of cleaning is about the same. The collar and nipple are one piece while most other bottles they're separate. It functions well but does have a little divot around the perimeter you have to be extra meticulous in as to ensure no mold forms. My baby took right to the bottle! The nipple flow followed her lead. It did invert once or twice but was not a big deal. No leaks which is always a plus. The bottle packaging boasts having a temperature indicator in colors for milk which is genius! However, I tried and tried and was unable to see this feature. I first thought the straw would change from a blue to white or vice versa but that did not happen. Then I saw the thermometer looking sticker on the body of the bottle but unfortunately that never changed color for me either. Overall I love the originality and function of this bottle. I also was intrigued by the unique nipple that the bottle has, it&rsquo;s adjusted to the baby&rsquo;s suction. This feature is a major one because some bottles have a hole that cause milk leaks, in and out of the baby&rsquo;s mouth almost causing them to choke. There is a temperature gauge so if you warm your milk, you can safely tell if it&rsquo;s too warm for your baby. 3. You can use the bottle with or without the air path. 4. The bottle doesn&rsquo;t have many crevices which make it easier to clean. 5. Easy to hold in hand/chin when you need to multitask. 6. Baby can hold bottle easily. 7. Divot to pop open the lid, really easy to do with one hand. My daughter seemed to like the form of the nipple. I used to use Dr. Brown bottles and this seems better because it&rsquo;s a lot easier to clean and it seems to make my baby less gassy. Overall,I think the bottle has great features. I did notice the difference in reduction of bubbles and gas when using this bottle, I actually didn&rsquo;t see any! It was very, very easy to clean. Very easy to take apart and put together. The only thing we had trouble with, is how fast the milk flowed through the nipple. My baby is 6 months, we do breast feeding and formula sometimes so he was able to latch on pretty easily with no issue. But the little problem was that the milk poured out faster than he could intake so we stopped a few times to let him catch his breath and not be covered in milk. I turned the bottle on the side and upside down and it just pours out so be careful with leaking. When we received the NUK Smooth Flow Anti-Colic Bottles, we looked at the features which included a heat-sensitive gauge on the side of the bottle, and fewer parts to clean compared to other anti-colic bottles on the market. The nipple is part of the screw-on bottle topper. While this feature is convenient to not have so many parts to keep track of we found that cleaning the bottles was a little more difficult. There are extra ridges and crevices that are difficult to reach with our traditional bottle cleaning brushes, even the provided mini bottle-brush had difficulty reaching those hard to reach places. And because the nipple has a sleek integration with the bottle topper, it's not as easy to get a grip of the topper to screw onto the bottle base. This caused leaks the first time we used the bottles. After that, we got the hang of the grip to screw the topper on tighter. The shape of the nipple is unique and has a baby-led size, meaning that the baby controls the flow with how they engage with the nipple. I liked the shape of the nipple because it didn't feel so blunt and short. The bottle is very lightweight and easy to hold which was nice for feeding. I wasn't straining to get a good grip on the bottle. The heat-sensitive gauge wasn't necessary for us as he is formula fed and drinks room-temp formula, but I can see this being really helpful for those who make daily batches of formula and using a bottle warmer, or even for help with reheating pumped milk. The larger sized bottle was helpful for regular home feedings as he is currently drinking around 5-6 oz which can't be supported by the 5oz size. If we are on the go and need a quick feed, the 5oz size is convenient for traveling. I did receive these bottles for free for an honest review. Pros- the bottle shape is easy for little hands to hold onto. Unlike other bottles this set holds 10 oz, so more than other brands (8oz). Which is great for older littles who want more than the smaller sizes hold. It has a temperature line that goes white! Coolest feature on a bottle ever, to make sure that the milk isn't too hot. The venting system is easy to clean. Nipple and lid is one connected piece for easy cleaning. They don't leak like some of the other brands, especially if used without the vent system! Also, the bottles have a cute design on them. Cons- the box says 0+ months, however the cut of the nipple made the flow way to heavy. My 5 month old was practically choking on how fast the formula was coming out, he kept pushing it away as the formula was running down his chin. That being said it will be great when he is older and can handle a heavier flow. With that, understand the nipple and lid is one solid piece, you can not take off the nipple and switch it out (which is easy for cleaning, but in this case isn't great). Thats the only negative I have, so if your little one can handle a flow like that I think these are great.
