It's interactive and prompts a lot of imaginative play with having the accessories that are included. The music is a pretty good volume, not too quiet or too loud and all the pieces fit nicely back in to place when you want to pop it away. The front opens up to reveal a stage area, and when you position the My Little Pony figure, each one has its own music and lighting. You can also just press the button on the front to play a selection of short tunes with accompanying coloured lights. The rear has a backstage dressing area and a storage section for the little accessories which come with the set, although not all the pieces fit in it but you can store them in the front stage section. The accessories allow you to customise the characters to create your own little stage shows but they are quite fiddly and small, although our wee one loves the variety of pieces. There is a stand where you can display your character once you have styled it. The set has a carrying handle so little ones can take it with them on the go, and the Musical Mane Melody player seems quite robust and well made. Due to the small pieces, I wouldn't recommend for kids 4 and under. True to their brand name the quality is perfect. It's a 2 in 1 playset where there is a musical stage on one end and spa on the other. So hours of pretend play with this one toy. When the pony figures are plugged into the stage, they play colors and music which entertains my kids for a really long time. It also comes with pony Access. This set comes with 20 pieces including: the two in one musical stage, three characters and accessories. The stage lights up and plays music with installing 3 AAA (not included). The music and lights are activated by placing the characters hoof to the heart on the stage or by pressing the music button. The backside of the stage has a salon area and changing room build in. The toy is easy enough to carry around by the handle and you can store some of the accessories in the &ldquo;closet&rdquo;. You can also buy extra My Little Ponies/characters for this toy which also activate their own music and lights.
