Of course it came with instructions, but she preferred exploring using her own imagination. It&rsquo;s only once she played with the doll for a while and came back to the instructions that she found out the keys had to be put under water to reveal a color. The kit comes with 2 outfits. This is such a cool addition to their Monster high toys. The case is shaped like a coffin, and has 5 different compartments. The biggest one has the doll and a key. The keys are all black, except for one and you put them in water to do a color reveal and then use the key that is the same color as the compartment to open it. The keys all work on any of the locks, so you don&rsquo;t have to use the correct key to open them. Each compartment comes with accessories, or a different outfit for the Monster high doll. She literally cannot put her down. She came in a coffin case which was cool and matched her theme. My daughter really enjoyed using the included keys to unlock the different compartments for her accessories (shoes, hat, earrings, etc). Each accessory was in its own little bag which meant more SURPRISES! Her hair is so soft and makeup matches her name - cool blue lipstick and eyebrows. She also has fish gils which also makes sense with her name (Lagoon- Lagoona). Her body is easy to maneuver for outfit changes, change of shoes etc which was really nice. My daughter can switch out her outfits with very little help. We have really enjoyed the Monster High Lagoona Blue doll and she has quickly become one of my daughters favorite toys. She takes her everywhere!
