I will say he was slightly disappointed when opening the box to find out that the majority of the castle was already assembled. His favorite part is putting the building blocks together. However, his attitude turned around when he found out that the set came with a QR code providing instructions to build the castle in the minecraft game. That was a much appreciated added bonus! The castle had some pretty cool features that you don't get with other building blocks...the dance floor lit up! It plays 2 songs and the stage lights up and folds up and down. It comes with 1 character that has a removable crown. It&rsquo;s great because the stage is large enough for them to play with several of their Minecraft figures on it and yet it folds up nice and flat for storage. My kids were hoping for some more accessories or characters to be included, but were happy that the one included figure was articulated and had a crown. I gave this to my 8 year old son who is a huge Minecraft fan upon receiving it. Overall he really enjoyed playing it and had fun. He really liked that it came with the party supreme figure and loved the light up dance floor. However it would have been better if it came with some accessories or another figure at least. He didn't like that the volume on the music is very loud and there's no volume control and there's only 2 different songs. We are not connected during the summer months so this was a disappointment. Figures are well made and have potential but without a connected computer not played. They love Minecraft to begin with and this one lights up and plays two songs as well, they are having so much fun with it. This particular set only comes with one figue so be aware of that! All is can do is open and close the drawstring and there's a sound it makes but I'm not sure which age range would find this intriguing. My oldest kids are really into Minecraft and this did not meet expectations unfortunately.
