This combines Megablox, Barbie, Color Reveal &amp; Surprise Packets. The end result is an adorable dreamhouse that can be reconfigured multiple ways and played in with the little characters that can be accessorized in different ways. There are lots of little pieces like food items, furnishings, a car, a pool, and PETS! (Yes, my daughters were especially thrilled with the little pets!) The box states this is for ages 6+. Beware if you have anyone younger than that in your household, as there are 545 pieces in this set, and most of them are tiny. I appreciated the fact that each room is packaged separately, so the construction can be done in an orderly way. The instruction manual is clear and definitely kid-friendly. We opened one package of parts at a time and emptied them into a large wooden bowl for sorting/containment. Of course, my daughters wanted to &quot;reveal&quot; the surprises as we went along, so there is the added element of water. The pool is perfect for washing the coating off of the surprises and there is even an included sponge for &quot;scrubbing&quot;. Since the rooms are all packaged separately, you could do the project in small steps and put away for later if desired. My daughters had a whole day free and built the whole thing. Here are some things we really like about this dreamhouse play set: ~you can rearrange the rooms of the house into different configurations ~there are moving parts, like the elevator, toilet lid, the DJ station spinners, steering wheel, etc. ~compatible with other brand building sets, so endless options to create new scenes ~the mini people and pets are very cute ~good quality pieces, with a special tool to disconnect blocks (they loved this tool!) ~the furniture and accessories are separate pieces that can be moved to any room ~there are little clothes hangers to hang the clothing items on ~it was fun (albeit slightly messy) to scrub the surprises to reveal the characters' details ~good attention to detail on the tiny pieces, especially the pets ~the pool holds water for playing, or can store the extra pieces when putting away ~unlike a real Barbie dreamhouse, this set takes very little space, so storage is easy and it would be a great option for those with limited space There were almost no cons to this set, per my daughters, but I asked them to think hard and they came up with a couple: ~you can't take the hair off and switch, like in other similar mini figures ~if you are not careful, the necks can pull off the heads, so be careful to use a twisting motion vs a pulling motion ~so many pieces-- could get lost if not done in an organized manner -- the separately packaged bags help tremendously with this! This toy will keep your kids happy for hours! And even after the initial build and reveal, there are still so many options for new excitement: changing the house configuration, changing outfits and accessories, using icy cold water to expose the details on the pieces, and &quot;playing house&quot; with the little characters. My daughters enjoyed applying the little stickers to the various items, especially the smiley faces to the furniture items. You can &quot;feed&quot; the puppy, give the kids popsicles, drive the car, send kids or pets down the slide, etc. You can switch things around, like have TV or fireplace showing. Basically unlimited options for playing and building. As a mom, I feel like this toy is a winner! The building aspect takes it up a notch from a regular dollhouse, because your kids are actually using their brains to construct and make decisions about the way they want to design things. However, unlike a real dollhouse, this one is small, so even if you leave it in the constructed state, it does not take up a lot of space. The whole thing could be taken apart and you could start from scratch and repeat the entire process. Because we are in the process of a move to a significantly smaller house, I am very conscious of space considerations: everything in this kit could be stored easily in a box smaller than a shoebox! (We had to get rid of our real Barbie house because it is too big, so this is an ideal replacement for us!) All in all, both parents and kids in our house give this a 5 star rating. She was so excited to see it was Barbie. She loved that it had lots of colors like purple and light blue and of course Lots of pink(her favorite). I liked that the house swings up so she could easily play with all the rooms. It was bigger than I thought at first...mostly like a regular Lego set. It was difficult to snap some of the pieces in place so my daughter needed help. It took about 2 hours to fully put together and do the color reveal. It probably would have taken less time but my daughter kept getting distracted by all the accessories. I did like that the stickers are more of a color form feel rather than an actual sticker so it was easy to take them off and reposition them. You can reposition the rooms vey easily to change the style of the house which is cool. I also liked that the instructions were pretty easy to follow. They even had the places highlighted where you had to connect pieces so you didn't have to guess. It comes with lots of accessories and characters. The color reveal was very problematic. I have not had any problems in the past with this but boy they did not reveal easily. I don't know if it was due to my daughter getting impatient and dumping all of them into the ice cold water or that these were just not the regular Barbie color reveals. The first one I used the hot water and the purple stuff came off with no problem but when I went to do the ones that she had in cold water first that purple stuff did not want to come off. I soaked them in the hot water and scrubbed but only managed to get most of the purple stuff off. They are still playable and some of them still had streaks in their hair. Pros: Relative easy build, the house opens for easy play and it comes with lots of accessories and characters. Cons: The biggest problem I had was the Color Reveal. It was just too hard and was not as easy as the regular Barbie Color Reveals. This was a hit! Besides for the pretend play aspect of it, once it's built. The creative play needed to put it a together added so much fun and kept my kids so busy. The attention to detail in each room is amazing and the added bonus of getting to immerse the dolls in water to reveal their features was the cherry on top. This mega dreamhouse contains a lot of accessories for the kitchen, bedroom, restroom, music room, living room, the garden, pool and even the elevator. My daughter loved that it came with so many accessories and everything was so detailed. She also loved how it came with animal friends like dogs and cats, but what really got her excited was the color reveal of the lego people. She was excited to put them in the pool and see them color change. She is so happy that she could arranged the house to however she wants to re-build it and is not limited to being a certain way.
