What I love about the Maxflow is the clean look, shields are a lot more comfortable, it&rsquo;s a closed system (!), and the letdown button. It&rsquo;s compact so it&rsquo;s easy to carry around and take anywhere. The flexible shields are awesome and not super hard plastic, it makes pumping a little more comfortable, and I love that it&rsquo;s a closed system so I never have to worry about mold. The letdown button is very helpful so you don&rsquo;t have to try and figure it out yourself. What could improve: suction buttons, variety of shield sizes. Though the suction is good, everyone&rsquo;s body reacts differently to a pump, so I wish this had a buttons or knob to control both the suction and speed as you can with the advanced. For me lower suction and speed worked best for me after a letdown. I also am having trouble with the sizes offered. I use their smallest size breast sheild I&rsquo;ve been able to find (21mm) and it is still too big. Overall good product, and I am pleased with it enough to continue using it! I think you have to use it for both breasts, otherwise the suction doesn't work. Easily comes apart and parts are dishwasher safe with one of those little buckets you use for bottle nipples &amp; parts. Medela is a brand I trust. Their breast milk bags are top-notch! I love that I can change the levels of suction to my comfort level and I can do multiple let downs during my pumping time if I choose too. The silicone along the edges of the flanges make them SO MUCH MORE COMFORTABLE than flanges without. This pump, with these flanges, also work better with hands free pumping bra because it allows for more comfortable contact with the breast. The ice pack stays super cold so even if I forget to put my milk in the fridge when I get home that ice pack saves me until I do remember. If I ever need another pump I will ALWAYS go with Medela and just pay out of pocket. I get better output supply wise and I never have to worry if it will work or not. You see feeding my baby has never been a problem, but pumping has. After careful research I found out that Medela has a let down function! Game changer! I drink some tea, put on Sense and Sensability, at some breast warmers, and start pumping! Finally a let down!!! I usually use the let down function twice since my little guy is a crazy eater. And once the regular cycle starts I start to get a good flow. I personally like to pump for at least 20 mins so that I can get a second let down. (Never even knew that existed). The only issue I have is that you have to buy whole new Flex Connectors when it&rsquo;s time to change the membrane, the membranes are not available to purchase by themselves. Still highly recommend! It&rsquo;s pretty quite compared to others I&rsquo;ve seen and I&rsquo;ve had no problem getting replacement parts when needed. I would definitely recommend it. I was planning on breastfeeding and pumping when I went back to work. Instead I have ended up exclusively pumping and this pump is amazing. this pump is quiet and compact, so much so i can pack it put and take it with me wherever i go. It fits right in my purse and diaper bag without taking up to much room. The only downfall is that this pump isn't able to hook up to a car adapter and that the membranes aren't replaceable.
