Hands down the best feature of the doll is that we (parent) can choose which doll we are buying, but the child doesn&rsquo;t know (the gemstone on the front indicates which doll is inside). If I am spending on a doll I want to make sure it&rsquo;s the one my daughter wants, and she was so so happy that she got the one she was hoping for. Also means we can look at getting another without the possibility of a double. The potion was brilliant (would have loved the addition of some shimmer for a touch of added magic!) - my daughter loves the surprise element of this toy. The dolls are adorable and have a cute overall theme. The gimmick is &quot;magically creating&quot; your doll by making a potion. There's a few steps but nothing was difficult to figure out and it would be child friendly (with some supervision so they don't spill water all over). I was impressed that the doll did not get wet from the potion making. The packaging is actually really good. I would love to see a larger version of these dolls without the potion making gimmick. Currently, they're 6 inches tall but the details on them are super impressive for the scale. Great paint, cute body blushing, articulation at the head, shoulders, elbows, and hips. Top is molded on and painted but the skirt is fabric and the shoes are removable. The hair is SO soft. When taking the doll out of the bottle, definitely be careful when pulling it out because some of the liquid could end up in the packaging.
