You use the wand to make the toys &quot;appear&quot;, the yellow one changes faces with the wand which made her laugh, and the pink one changes colors with hot water. She enjoys the process, and it helps her learn patience. Getting the toys to appear takes a moment, and then she had to wait for one to change colors. The sets can offer a variety of rares and commons. However that excitement quickly disappeared at the wave of a the proverbial wand. It is a cute, colorful and unique design for the little sorceress in your life, but it doesn&rsquo;t stand the test of time. The instructions are out of order and caused some confusion. Eventually we figured it out and were able to discover the &ldquo;magic&rdquo; within the cauldron. With the wave of the enclosed magnetic jewel tipped wand, the inner covering of the cauldron opens to reveal two different creatures, which range from common to ultra rare. Each has a different and uniqueness that sets them apart. Some glow in the dark, open and close their eyes, sprout wings etc. It&rsquo;s a fun experience the first, initlal time, but afterwards the interest was lost. She didn&rsquo;t find the figures interactive enough and just set them aside. We weren&rsquo;t sure what to expect with a toy that claims magic, but essentially the little wand with a crystal tip has a magnet at the end that allows a mechanism to open the cauldron, thus revealing your toys. It comes with two figures which can vary from ultra rare to common. They each do their own special thing. Some can morph, change colors, are glittery etc&hellip; If your child likes to play make-believe and has a good imagination then they&rsquo;ll like these. If they prefer for their toys to have all sorts of features and extras, they&rsquo;re probably going to be bored with the mixlings. My 7 year old thinks they&rsquo;re very cute but they sit on her shelf now. The new novelty wore off after about 10 days or so, when they lost the wand to the calderon and couldn't open it until they found it just recently.
