I wish ours did not arrive broken because I would&rsquo;ve loved to try this out with her. She was so happy to see it and it broke her heart when she seen it was broken so I told her we would go out and try to get another one but yes get one for your house. She received the Cauldron style for Christmas a couple of years ago and was excited about this one! The directions were easy to follow and walked us through the whole process and different stages to reveal the Mixie. The various colored lights, smoke and sounds were from the lamp were fun and I appreciate it can be refilled to repeat again.... not just one use The Mixie itself is sweet, can be named, lights up and makes really cute sounds. It has 3 different modes of play which are Wish Granting using lights and the magic ring, Play Mode where it lights up and Chat Mode where it responds in its own adorable language. This is very exciting toy, we just followed the instructions and had so much fun playing. We started first with the pink magic ring, lots of changing lights, fun music and amazing surprising magic mist. We never experienced anything like this. Are favorite part was the final Magic Genie Mixie plush toy reveal. My daughter has been playing with the Genie every day and asking for special wishes using the pink magic ring and the Genie Mixie answer in their own fun language. Overall, this was a fun first time experience and its a cool concept to follow steps in order to make the mixie appear. The lamp offers compartments to store other things in the future and a spot to keep the mixie. There are a few things you can do with the Mixie which keeps a kid's attention. The reasons why it doesnt get a better rating are a few. One is that the price feels a bit high. The first experience going through the steps is really the big show, but not the same after. Unfortunately when we went through the steps, it skipped forward two times where we didnt get a chance to do the step properly, and robbed some of the experience. The mist worked better the second time, but was faint to see.
