We already own few Magic mixies toys and my boy was so excited to receive the newest addition to the collection of Magic mixies. The Genie Lamp is absolutely fantastic and well worth the money. This toy has 60+ lights, sounds and reactions and the smoke is such a cool addition. You can re- use the Genie Lamp and making the genie appear again and again .The whole process of getting the Genie out from start to finish is so good and my boy and I both had so much fun . This toy comes with a booklet and instructions which were easy for my boy to follow. His face says it all when the genie popped out the lamp .My boy finds the genie so cute and funny when it talks in its own language. There is even option of the Genie to repeat what you say which is amazing and my boy's favourite. You can use the special ring to interact with the genie and even attach the genie on it so it can &quot;float&quot; . Also you can put the genie on the spout of the lamp so it looks like it's coming out of it . My boy has been loving this toy and takes the genie with him everywhere even for cuddles in bed . The smoke that comes from the Lamp will last few times and you can buy refill which is fabulous as you can keep re-using the Lamp . My boy has been playing with this toy all the time since we've received it and it's one of his favourite toys at the moment. Luckily there's an option where you can replay the opening over and over again so if it does go wrong the first time it really doesn't matter! There is also a free play option which my children love using to hide their own different toys in the lamp! The magic mixies lamp is so well thought out, with so many different features and points of interactivity, it even managed to make my little girl laugh when she shook it and their was a crashing sound, and making a 5 year old laugh is no mean feat! The smoke feature is brilliant, the look of wonder in my daughter's eyes when she first saw it was amazing and we've been playing with this toy for well over 3 weeks now yet it still smokes with no signs of running out. The Mixie inside has become my daughter's little companion everywhere she goes, grating wishes with her ring and making funny sounds, reminiscent of a Furbie! Now having seen the whole concept.. story.. leading the the build up.. carrying out the actions with the lamp and the final reveal I get the price point and think it is justified. My little boy loved all the theatre and drama from the lights, magical mist and sounds to accompany the story of his Genie Mixie being trapped within the lamp. After the first run through he enjoyed doing it all again to show other family members and friends. My children and their friends thoroughly enjoyed following the steps of the lamp to reveal the ring, magic gem and finally the genie which emerged through a puff of magical mist. We might have a pink lamp and toy but it hasn't stopped my football mad 8 year old son enjoying it and playing with it by himself. Even after we followed the instructions step by step we struggled to open the lamp and had to reset it a few times and start again and eventually we were able to open it.
