They would take turns adding the magical ingredients then tapping the wand against the side of the pot. After all ingredients are mixed together in the pot, mist started to rise and the magic mixie pet magically appeared . Unlike other toys were that would be the big finally , the magic mixie pet has over 50 sounds and reactions that it responds to by either touch or the wand. The price is on the higher end for the initial set but the refills are around $10 which I plan to purchase several as soon as possible. </span>

We found the instructions rather hard to read. We had to keep re-reading them as we went. When she did the spell it did create smoke, but I noticed the smoke had a terrible odor to it. That’s surprised me in a child’s toy. All in all it is really cute, but takes patience to figure out. I do wish it had more spell ingredients so that it could be used more than once we will wait for refills to be available and try it again.</span>

The toy is cute, fun for kids to watch and experience the magic of creating their own toy. The lights make it more magical. Fun for kids to mix the ingredients and get the toy. My daughter really enjoyed playing with the wand. Love that one tap of the head makes the animals gem turn colors. Cool that critter is multi colored, makes realistic sounds, and can grant wishes. It is super cool that in the gem box you have the ability to hide your own toys. Also fun that you can redo the process and have the lights and sounds come on again do it is not a one time use and done. The pot is really pretty and a great eye catcher in the store. Overall, great toy for kids.</span>
