The clip is fairly easy to do one handed. I really like the feel and stretch of the material used as does my baby but getting the tails into the back piece is not the easiest, takes some time and therefore makes this as far as I am concerned not the ideal carrier for when your out and about. However this is perfect for home use. My baby liked being in it and he felt pretty secure as did my older baby who is 16 months( he&rsquo;s the one in the pics) I like that you can use it forward facing as well. If your new to carriers this will take you a few tries before you really get the hang of it. I have been babywearing for over 9 years and this still took me a few tries before I really felt my kids were secure and not going to fall out when I bent down. You really have to make sure the placement on the tails are just right. I cant stress how much I love the simplicity of this Carrier and how fast it can be fitted and set up properly. It makes busy days a lot easier when your baby wants to be with you every step of the way. It's such a simple 3 step process of slipping it on like a t-shirt, buckling each side for security, and then lifting and tying the sash through the sash guide in the back. The cotton fabric is so lightweight, soft and breathable; I honestly can't wait to use it in the warmer months as it won't be as hot to wear then either. I love wearing my babies, and I definitely recommend something that's quick and user friendly like this if you love wearing yours too.
