The directions were pretty easy to follow. Some of the pieces were hard to snap into place for them at times. They enjoyed the different texture of the fur for the Pok&eacute;mon as well. After Eevee, Vulpix is her second favorite Pokemon, so she was excited to receive this set. The instructions were easy to follow, and she was able to build the Vulpix quickly. However, she struggled to build the Ninetales and became frustrated when building the legs and tail as it was harder for her to connect some of the pieces/joints and have them stay together. She also found the tails of both Pokemon (but more so the Ninetails) to be quite heavy and prevented the figurines from standing upright unless mounted to the base. Overall, my daughter loved the Vulpix and was happy to add it to her Mega Pokemon collection. The Ninetails, on the other hand, she was less than impressed with as it was not as cute looking as the Vulpix and kept falling apart. She asked me for help, which I was happy to build with her, but even I had trouble getting some of the pieces to snap together. Having collected and built multiple of these Pokemon sets, I feel like some pieces stick together incredibly well once snapped into place, but others (mainly at the ball-bearing typing joints) have a tendency to come apart. Opening the box was very simple and straightforward and the bags of building blocks were organized carefully in the box. Included is a set of instructions that made building the kit very simple, even for my 5 year old that gets easily frustrated. After building the kit, they enjoyed playing with the characters. It was really neat seeing the end result of both Pok&eacute;mon, and how the pieces came together. The set is age appropriately. I had to help my 5 year old complete some parts due to the difficulty. The arms, ears, and tails are all poseable, and are great fun to play with. There are multiple other sets similar to this one, and they all connect together. And she can play with them a bit. My only thing is I wish they gave an extra piece or two on the attachments needed to keep the pieces together for ninetails tail. It was pretty quick to come together and definitely held his and his sister&rsquo;s interest. It&rsquo;s easy to play because the fact that it&rsquo;s made of all the little parts makes it very movable.
