We are big Pok&eacute;mon fans so this buiding set is perfect! The instructions were easy to follow. Inside, all the pieces are separated into numbered bag with a large instruction manual to walk you through each step. Just over 500 pieces, it is the perfect amount to keep someone entertained, but will not take forever. Plan for about 2-3 hours. The character itself has moving pieces that makes it more than a block figure. Lapras has a wheel to make it swim and a turning head. One slight drawback is that the pieces are hard to interlock sometimes, but once you get them to do so, they will not fall out! Overall this is a great product for a child to do on their own or as a family on a rainy afternoon.
