I realized it happened because of the ear piercings I have, so I ended up gluing a bit of satin ribbon to the cushion to protect it. It is fine but it looks horrible. The second side is beginning to crack even though I have no piercings there. I also began using them in Zoom meetings and the sound was not very clear - the voices sounded a bit distant and crackly. The time to charge is more than adequate and the larger battery (compared to my in-ear wireless uplift 2) means a much longer time between charges, whilst the included audio cable enables you to still listen even if you do forget to charge up. They provide a good insulation from the outside environment. The sound is well balanced, way better than some other crappy bass-oriented headphones. I like listening to jazz, classical music and sometimes opera apart from heavy metal and chill world music so I really appreciate the high frequency response the headphones offer. My biggest and only complaint is that one foam pad felt off. I don`t even mind that the paint has scratched on one of the cups because of transportation, because that`s normal. But because of the missing foam pad, now I have to throw them away. It makes me feel that the recicled aluminium cups and the tiny piece of wood bearing the logo that sits on top of the driver are just some flasshy useless features. I don`t even mind that the material the pads are made of disintegrated over time and left tiny pieces of black specks all over my clothes. Knowing that these headphones are made from sustainable materials and that house of Marley is helping to plant trees with every purchase really sold this for me. I was more than happy to purchase these over something else that might offer greater bass levels etc simply because of their ethical approach - something that other companies seem to lack unfortunately. Some quick thoughts on the headphones so far: - Sound quality is great considering the price. It can sound a bit flat compared to more expensive headphones but adjusting equaliser levels within your device can help with this to some degree - The build quality is good, the only thing to mention would be that the aluminium cans can scratch easily when they fold in and come into contact with themselves. But the headphones do as other reviewers said that they huts your ears from the contact with the inside of the ear-cups. It also huts on the top band over your head if you wear them for 1-2 hours or more. I can tell you that the sound of the headset can be quite loud if you wear them in a quiet room even at lower volume. After many hours upon hours of listening the sound can &ldquo;break&rdquo; when it plays very low frequencies at loud volume. Mine stopped charging altogether and many people online seem to have the same problem. That said, they still work when plugged in normally. The microphone quality is also subpar. They also help to keep my ears warm when out walking my dog.
