This slide is nowhere near the same quality as it used to be. I can't believe that they are allowed to sell something like this for children. It is flimsy, with sharp edges. The stairs are so steep my son is terrified to climb up and there are stress marks all over the plastic. I would say this slide isn't going to last very long and will soon bend right in half. For the price it is a complete rip off. I usually don't write reviews like this but I feel people should be aware how bad this thing is. It should be sold at the dollar store. I don't even feel comfortable putting it up for sale because it is not safe. We feel betrayed by little tikes. The memories I made with my slide using it as a boat and a space ship with not be made with my son and this slide. Who ever was in charge of this project should be ashamed. So we constantly do that and I got this because he was using my legs as a &ldquo;human slide&rdquo; which is fine but then after him wanting to do that 10 times and then some, I would be so tired... and now we have to pick him up a million times so it didn&rsquo;t really help matters but at least he&rsquo;s having fun and that&rsquo;s all we wanted! :) As far as the handles go, my husband put this together and he said that the handles were the only parts that gave him a problem. But he says it&rsquo;s probably like that so it doesn&rsquo;t come apart. He says you just have to keep pushing it hard until it pops into place. Honestly I would worry if it were easy to put on and take off because that&rsquo;s probably going to cause an accident for your child. But I can assure you- they&rsquo;re on and they&rsquo;re not going anywhere which means that they are the right handles and they do match the product. Just be patient.... I know this is meant to be used outdoors, but we can&rsquo;t do that at the moment because we don&rsquo;t have a fenced in yard so we use it inside and I wish that they made it for outdoor and indoor- only downside of this is how much it slides on the wooden floors. Wish there were grippers on it but oh well! We put it on his puzzle mat when we bring it out and it stays put! That&rsquo;s the only reason it&rsquo;s got 4 stars. That and I wish it held more weight cause watching my son makes me wish I could slide on it too!
